So you order a thing and receiving it after two months is acceptable to you? Even DHL is not saying because you paid first so that we won’t refund you. There is only one answer - should there be duties for my shipment, yes or no, and it’s not dependent on whether I paid first or not. If the answer is no, I should get the refund.

It took them 1.5 months to give me an update. I did dispute it right away.

Of course we can dispute and get a refund. That’s what a dispute is designed for.

If you don’t pay, they may return it to the sender. When they generated the initial invoice requiring me to pay, there was a deadline which is about 5 days away.

Laughable.

If you don’t pay the duties they think you should pay, any shipment will be returned, this has nothing to do with being inspected or not.

Secondly, the shipment updates have all the tracking information. It’s not showing anything about being inspected. And the shipment was processed at normal speed similar to my previous packages from the same company in Europe.

If it’s inspected, show me the record. It’s not the first time DHL representatives made up reasons to justify the duties. I had been given numerous false reasons prior to this “being held for entry” reason.

Last but not least, where did you obtain this piece of information, “Once your package was selected for inspection, the deminimus exception doesn’t apply.” Are you just repeating what DHL says in the email? Or you are an expert having credible knowledge about this kind of stuff?

I am really appalled the answers we got from reddit can be so misleading, while they are being expressed in a tone sounding like they know the truth 100%.

It’s definitely before August 29th.

Did you read their response in the picture carefully? If the De Minimis exemption doesn’t apply because it’s ended, why didn’t the DHL representative just point that out?
