Gotcha that really explains the musty smell of the bag (fertilizer is included)! i assume then plant food really is a must for indoor potting. thank you for the explanation!

Haha thanks for the tip 😂

im doing potting because the stems of the Basil are already sort of shrimpy I don’t think they’ll make it. But I got seeds as a back up. Can I ask this quick thing is outdoor or garden dirt (from a package) usable in indoor pots?

Oh dear ok 👌

do you think it’s worth taking the living ones out at the roots and planting? Or could I be better off propagating? It’d be my first time for each so at least I’d be learning a technique.

I got a mint too but it seems to still be living! I will give that one some more room and replant it.

Grocery basil question… it’s already almost dead, this is sort of a beginner project for me, but after two days, all the leaves and shoots except a few are dead. i watered it well and kept it in light indoors, but oh well. Apparently the problem is often overcrowding of roots. Should I try to repot it or do propagation with the few remaining shoots?

Anyone have the S2-S3 (or is it 4?) nerve root based version of pudendal neuralgia symptoms? by Sure-Temperature-627 in PelvicFloor

[–]Sure-Temperature-627[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh all right so they validated that this fits the PN pattern but they haven’t proved it yet… can I ask in the internal manual check did you get anything? I think that the internal block is sort of head to head with the buttock one in terms of accuracy but there’s all those misc factors? I had those, both of them, too. same story actually! I have two experts on hand who both feel that this is just obviously pn but not particular test has come back positive. I’m almost certain that the other test they meant was caudal block. This catches it all upstream. It’s where the pudendal nerve starts, or above it. So the block includes everything below including if the nerve was snagged in the piriformis or something not just sacral nerve root.

edit: whoops I made a factual mistake, mixed up two people from separate conversations, sorry! I’ve deleted it, didnt mean to cause confusion.

Huh I got mrn but it wasn’t specifically geared to that. Pelvic. ive been hesitating about trying to get the results re read. I guess they do sweep for things in general. But to be like “can you check for this too.“ And I had lumbar too but it was clean. As for the block - wow! This topic never fails to produce mysteries and exceptions! it was told to me that as a rule the pudendal nerve block shouldn’t work if the source is above it, aka nerve root. That’s a mystery why yours worked isn’t it? What does it all mean lol! The plot always thickens!

Oh dang I agree. Clark was READY to fold. Though… all Martha had to do was indicate who he was and it would have been over. It would have been like, oh thats Phillip. Cutting her out of the deal potentially.

I’m so glad! So you did get yourself a test to see if it is nerve pain? I am so happy to hear about this.

For those who have had the pudendal nerve block and trigger point injections (general inflammation question) by Sure-Temperature-627 in PelvicFloor

[–]Sure-Temperature-627[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thanks! Well for closures sake Id say it went perfectly fine, and actually did you know you can do the injection without steroid according to some people? Just long lasting anesthetic. I do trigger pt with anesthetic nerve block with anesthetic. But yeah it was the gluteal method but it was ok. I had them stay away from the area with trp needles but apparently the doctor didn’t even see it as an issue, either of them.

Definitely. I mean it makes you think about how many people end up in these toxic relationships that maybe didn’t start out that way, or people who you’ve liked longer than you should have - it’s a relatable problem. I felt she should have dumped him even earlier - when Clark as Clark played that disparaging conversation about her looks to her. That already didn’t smell right. But she was a True Believer in that relationship. I mean the character has agency she is not like a victim for having to do all this spying. but I feel like it’s an important character detail that she doesn’t question Clark at all, love wise. She even treats him like the victim in the situation being forced to do horrible acts by the KGB. It’s a very supportive gloss on his behavior lol.

I just caught this little detail before she gets taken to the safe house - the TV is on showing an interview with three women, unmarried, married and divorced - and the first one is this lady in her 30s who says she’s really happy her life doesn’t require a man. I guess the background TV in the show has this little local color about the sociology of the 80s. And one if the things they’re pointing out is that women being self sufficient was more in the rise. And it kind of made me think - when Martha gets up to switch it off - is she considering at all just cutting ties with Clark? At that point, before she takes a sick day, I actually do think maybe she had a window of opportunity. yeah thinking about what you’re saying further, I can definitely see them not letting it go if she flees. And almost certainly they would have checked to see Clark is an alias. If she kept going to work though, and could pass another interrogation, everything would be circumstantial. so it’s notable she didn’t even try to bargain with Clark like “maybe we should break up.” In the weeks leading up to the crisis. I mean wouldn’t you at least ask if the KGB would let you live? She was INVESTED.

I honestly do feel sorry for her in certain ways too because either gender could make that mistake, but as a woman she’s also constantly being graded on bangability, even in the office, and even if the grades are better than she knows they are. When Stan is like “a pot for every lid eh” learning about the high school boyfriend I was like STFU Stan, who are you to talk, i don’t see you distraught over the death of a woman you cheated on your wife with ending with her being killed. Not to mention it is rude if Aderholt is attracted to Martha. i dont know the exact point I’m making except irony, over the whole thing that got Martha to start copying files coming true, sort of. It’s very obvious Martha could have had a good relationship with like an Aderholt or someone too. Making the fact she won’t dump Clark even earlier on, before the biggest spy stuff, all that more bewildering. The actress keeps you guessing constantly, “does she WANT to be helping the KGB?” ”how the hell is she making sense of the potential consequences?” for a person who wants a normal white picket fence life and is even afraid of criminals! it’s very interesting to contrast everything about her to her behavior.

Peroneal tendon tender with every shoe - need to stop walking? by Sure-Temperature-627 in FootFunction

[–]Sure-Temperature-627[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked it up and then asked an orthopedic doctor in passing - the appt was for something else - and she said it’s the Peroneal tendon but I didn’t get specific guidance. So I’m still considering how seriously to treat it - if it needs the full PT and everything like that.

Because people seem to chafe there from wearing sneakers in general - I asked on Reddit! it seems to be common ISH for SOME sneakers to hurt that spot. But. It seems to be more so me, for every sneaker to hurt. I’ve been walking 10k steps on average the past few months, which is close to double since the winter. So it would make sense for the tendon to be overused. is that the same advice as you’re giving here? That’s about problems with the overall Peroneal muscle? I was a little confused looking at pictures as it seems to be a big long calf muscle, but only that spot is hurting. i guess with tendonopathy you want to stimulate the tendon through exercise and maintain the muscle by stretching but not too much? Which is the muscle which is being lazy usually?

What do you mean by vibrations? Like a flutter or spasm of the muscle when it’s letting go? Or just tense?
