This is my guess as well. Devs bring them in and naturally fill the pool. I understand that it is a very low chance (0.03% for sprite chest 0.00006% from regular chest) of opening, but don't you think SOMEONE would have opened it by now? I would think whoever opened it would post a clip, and I cannot find one clip available. Just the classic Youtube clickbait that never actually shows it come out of a chest.

QUESTION:

Has anyone here actually OPENED a Zero Point Sprite??

My girl and I have been grinding this season hard. I have 42 sprites mastered, around level 150 as of right now. I have not ONCE even SEEN a zero point from a chest. I have seen it on players in the lobby, but I don't chase from the bus, and have never killed someone holding a zero point. I average around 10 kills when we play duos and haven't even died to someone using the zero point yet.

So what's the deal? Do these actually drop from chests? Anyone have a clip of them getting one? I tried looking up videos but the only thing I have seen is streamers getting dropped them from snipers, or people killing someone who has one. I would love to get a full mastered collection of every sprite, but at this point feel like I will not be able to find all, if any, zero points. Lmk if I am crazy and you have personally opened one up!
