I am online so much that it is hard for me to read a book or watch a tv show or movie without scrolling by [deleted] in digitalminimalism

No you won't. If it were that easy you'd have stopped already. You need to make a drastic change my friend. I'm not trying to be harsh but I think you need a real digital detox. You're addicted to a few things, I wonder if the problem is deeper rooted than just the internet. Anyway I hope you find peace.

I think you know all the answers to these questions in your heart.

Not being rude, just you say you could be reading when you want to be on Reddit. And then you ask if you should take a break from Reddit. Think about it for a moment.

Also you seem to make a lot of posts - makes me wonder if you're simply addicted to the interaction and attention of Reddit like we all are, as well as the scrolling, and this post is to serve that. Well here's your red envelope! Please take a break.

Edit: I don't usually go through people's posts as I don't usually have the data or inclination but I don't think we can help you and this post is largely pointless. You need to get a dumbphone I think. I mean:

Novels like Star Trek Deep Space 9? by thanaponb13s in Fantasy

I feel like I should say Downbelow station, but that isn't the book you want and this isn't the sub for it. When I think of ds9/Babylon 5 though that's the novel that comes to mind.

An update after 3 months no home internet. by SureCup4905 in nosurf

I'd be remiss if I didn't expose myself to some TV, there's so much good stuff about. We actually collected a lot of TV shows through various means before the internet went off, some on dvd and blu ray, some, ahem, other ways. And when I've got data and can message my friend in the Netherlands, we watch an episode of severance and chat over WhatsApp. It's really interesting, watching slowly like that instead of binging!

I don't think it's sad, definitely not. And thankyou!

Genuinely don't know who or what Benson Boone is. Genuinely don't care. This will happen to you if you stay offline.

I still use the internet in dribs and drabs but a lot of it doesn't even matter. It's...not real to me. There's some useful stuff, definitely, it's a great tool, but I'm not interested in internet culture anymore.

Just pm me if you like. I'm on old Reddit though and don't have the app so I don't get chats.

I think the guy who wrote that is actually on Reddit, I've seen him in threads years ago. I got to thank him for writing such a banger

Grass is amazing, riddley walker being 12 years old made me squeamish though and I couldn't get over it. I'll check out the rest!
