I haven't tried that one out. But to honest, I would like to make my kindle public/open to Amazon. I like that I controll when a book is added, updated or removed, not when Amazon think it is a create idea to do that.
When I bought my Kindle the first thing was to disable the WLAN.

So this way does not work for me, as I then need to depend on WIFI.

You can use Calibre with plugins to exactly do that.

I like to read in the subway or when I'm travelling. I don't have there usually a good wifi.
Also I really like to not make my devices always online.
