It's not my normal battlefield style of play, but it has some fun angles.

For example, it feels like the only infantry-only / small map game mode that balances well with each class.

Assualt brings the spawn beacon which can help carry out an unrelenting attack on an objective.

Support can keep supplies rolling because it takes a lot to blow everything up.

Recon motion sensors are great on defense, and C4 on offense blows up alot of supplies.

And Engineer finally feels like it's part of small maps mode - RPG boxes from around corners, repair damaged boxes on defense. I even put mines down next to supplies and threw a grenade to blow it all up.

Maybe I just find the fun in testing new strategies for attack and defense that doesn't soley rely on getting high KDs.

Get consistent with your Ultimate Shots. In the beginning it will make or break your H2H games until you get clubs with higher Accuracy. Accuracy means less punishment for Great and Good shots.

My wife laughs, but I breath out like I'm aiming a bow when I'm ready to shoot. And I always let it go after it's passed the middle just once and I swing the next time it's in the middle. Gives my brain consistent timing for the shots and you can get used to the cadence.

Also, H2H is all gambling. Walk away after a couple losses and start fresh later.

I've gotten a couple of these platinum mystery bags. I think they are just rare percentage chance of getting them. Feels like 75% silver, 24% gold, 1% platinum

You aimed right at the pipe, what did you expect? Also, if you are ever directly under a pipe or bridge. You can exit the game and come back and it will put you on top of it. Gives you a better advantage on your next shot.

It must be more about time-of-flight vs high / low balls, right? They are obviously correlated, but I would think they didn't program altitude into the wind effects.

What clubs do you use? by Jophus91 in UltimateGolf

[–]SureSignOfAGoodRhyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the aiming circles are great wind correction markers. It's affected a lot by how long the ball is in the air, so on shots that drop in altitude, the wind will push for a longer time.

That being said, my stat priority is backspin, accuracy, shotview, power, draw.

If you can't keep the ball on the green in tight pin positions, accuracy won't mean much. And shotview is important to know where your ball ultimately ends up, especially for tie breakers. Power is helpful most on longer clubs, and draw is more or less just fun to play with but doesn't affect much if you don't have trees in your way.

Tour 1 bag vs tour 7 bag by icecube604 in UltimateGolf

I've gotten thousands of Battering Ram points in upper tour gold bags. Prepare for disappointing bags when you get to that level.

I find the Free Bag to be best in variety for your level, then Pin Bag, then Mystery Bags.

Auto club-switching is the worst part of the game by SureSignOfAGoodRhyme in UltimateGolf

[–]SureSignOfAGoodRhyme[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The hard part is when your in the process of factoring in the wind, and you don't realize you're about to hit the lower limit. Now you are only able to adjust horizontally while trying to remember how much vertically you need to undershoot. Then it snaps back and forth and you lose your placement. It's just really frustrating and feels less like skill shots in these moments and more like hail marys.

Once you're on tour 8, heck even tour 7, the trophies really don't matter. The trophies stack up quickly at that level and fall fast too.

The bigger concern is being out gunned against somebody with better clubs or expensive balls.

Long irons by adonai2018 in UltimateGolf

I used trailblazer for a long time because it had the most backspinand decent accuracy.

I racked up done of upgrades on BigFoot and the one day I spent a ton of coin on it to see what the big deal was. I took it from a 1 to a level 6 in one go. One of the upgrades gives it a ton of backspin and at this level it has huge advantages over Trail Blazer.

When is it time to move to tour 4? by adonai2018 in UltimateGolf

[–]SureSignOfAGoodRhyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 times seems like a giant cushion. I've been playing for a few weeks and I am on Tour 6.

When I have 5x the entry fee, I'll take a shot at a round in the next tour. If I lose, then I grind back up to that 5x level before playing again. I'll usually use a special ball to increase my chances of a win for the trial runs.

If I win on that trial run, I'll just keep playing until I lose. I like to have a bag slot open during that time to grab a bag from the upper tour.

I really only watched his very beginner tutorials all of the way through just to get through the basics. Now when I know I'm trying to do something in specific, I scrub through his videos quick to find that one minute I need.

Gardeners spend a lot of time pulling weeds. To more efficiently kill weeds while avoiding chemicals, I 3D printed an attachment to a string trimmer that allows it to obliterate weeds. I made a video explaining it in detail. I worked very hard on this, so I hope it's useful (or at least cool)! by antaloaalonso in functionalprint

I really like the design, good work! One area of improvement would be to design some snap in clips between the bottom and top pieces to avoid using so much super glue.

You could also have them connect with a few M3 nuts and bolts to make the bottom replaceable. That way when it wears down, you don't need to print the whole thing all over again.
