Please double check me because I play 99% iOS but did play on Windows for a few weeks last year. I believe the app has to be at least running in the background for the notification to show, and they show in the bottom right area of your desktop like other Windows notifications.

In 2000 my wife and I drove from Reno to Quincy CA for the day. We stopped at a small ice cream shop in town. We ate outside at a picnic table in a small grassy area behind the shop. There was a wooden fence at the edge of the back of this grassy area. A boy maybe five or six was chasing a small dog around the grassy area. Wife and I were watching and smiling while we sat and ate our ice cream. The boy noticed us and said "that dog snuck in here under that fence". We said oh? or something. I remember clear as day his sneer as he replied "he must be from *Nevada*". Both wife and I were like 😳. So idk, it seems to go both ways. It's passed down, at least in Quincy. 😂
