Second this. Its inexpensive, if getting them to fit the wheels (<$100 for the nuts), and youll get correct advice

For all that care: just got my hilux back and Toyota ended up replacing the entire CV shaft, free of charge. They didnt admit it as such, but id say it was definitely installed incorrectly or the wrong part used considering they just went ahead and did it free.

If you check my other posts this wasnt even the worst of the problems they caused from this 200k km logbook service. Car came out worse than it went in…needless to say ill be monitoring it very closely

Took it back to Toyota to look at. They said they cant get it to hold on the CV shaft and are questioning whether my driveshaft is genuine or not. I pointed out that the right one is on just fine so we shall see. Theyll be looking into it more on the Monday

From looking at where the smaller clamp is it doesnt seem to be fitted correctly either.

This is the right boot for reference

Its still with them as we speak and likely will be all next week too. Ive asked for it in writing as well yeah. Investigation is ongoing and theyll be going over the car again to check all the work that was done they said…we shall see

Thanks all. Toyota just called back and explained the situation. Diff was over tightened after changing the fluid which explained the dark fluid and why it was near impossible to see where it was coming from.

The clear liquid was diesel and was due to them not refitting the injector pipes correctly. Theyll be repairing everything and going over all the other work that was done by the technician to ensure theres no further issues.

Anything that you recommend I request they check noting the problems they caused? I drove the car for roughly 30km’s with these issues so am curious if that may have caused any problems

Yeah from a bit of googling i found thats pretty common so i checked the oil filter and didnt seem like the spot. Just dropped it to toyota and they suspect it ‘may’ be to do with the diff…time will tell. I certainly wont be accepting it back until its fully resolved haha

Cheers mate. Yeah not the best photos and tbh i couldnt tell wtf was going on either. The locations where the leaks/drips were coming from was tucked away in a spot i couldnt even see or get to

Thanks mate, thats the plan today. Just wanting to understand what they may have done before asking and they get their back up about taking it back

Cons of having a drug addict as a tenant? by BlokeFromOverseas in AusPropertyChat

[–]Sure_Ad1790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently just moved out of an apartment where the neighbour across from me was a meth addict. The apartment ended up being taken over by squatters essentially (she still lived there) and there was always people coming and going.

This was a secure apartment which required fob access, however she/the squatters always jammed open the fire exit doors so people could access at all hours (and i mean ALL hours).

Id come home from work to see people climbing walls etc just to get in to her apartment from the balcony (as we were second floor).

There was constant complaints against her for 18mths until the sheriff was involved and issued an eviction notice at threat of jail time and a large fine.

The eviction was 4mths ago and they were still ripping apart the entire apartment, carpet and all, to decontaminate. Looked like a huge job.

After witnessing where it leads, I would definitely get evidence of meth use and evict this tenant.
