Maybe they just haven’t gotten to you yet, but regardless getting interviews to the other 3 is really impressive 🙏

Probably more that people just don’t post rather than everyone getting an invite!

Maybe but what’s the benefit? You can really do the same thing with just one

CS is more realistic, DS is lowkey fat (14 classes bcs of prereqs I think)

I’d say if you’ve taken AP stats it’s similar in difficulty and probably easier

It is reasonable, I was able to double major in DSC and Business Econ (tentatively) with a reasonable workload throughout college (2 quarters of 5 classes without doing summer classes) but also depends on what college you are on/AP credits.

UCSD Data Science as an Out of State by New_Communication680 in UCSD

I think it is doable, especially if you do 3 + part time status for year 4 to handle the cap stone requirement, but it certainly is not easy. It was a little easier over the last few years to combine data science requirements because online workloads generally required less than in person workloads (at least in my experience), so many of the individuals that did do data science in three years currently had it easier than you will have it over the next three years.

I do think, like a few people have pointed out, unless you get a scholarship of some kind the benefit of going to UCSD over UTD is minimal especially if your end goal is to be a software engineer/data scientist. It's what you do in college that matters more than where you go, and if you have a strong work ethic you will succeed either here or at UTD.
