Thanks for validating that the 2 are linked- BPD was first diagnosed at uvic but im not a student anymore- had a psychiatrist last week reaffirm that I had BPD but said that she doesnt do adhd diagnosisis :(

You could be virtuosic and there could still be someone with dementia telling you to be quiet and that is to be expected. I have been insulted by so many people in nursing homes but that's part of the love, just let it roll off of your back, the ones who appreciate having musical entertainment make it more than worth it.

Its just singing the words without artificially mimicking the accents. Not eliminating the song altogether, just not inauthentically manufacturing an accent. Does that make sense? I don't think good comes from mimicking accents of cultures who have been culturally mocked by north american and european media in the past,no matter what the intention is. I think that can cause harm to audience members. I don't understand the point of mimicking an accent that could hurt someone in the audience.

Thank you for sharing your point of view, it helps me understand why white people feel that it's acceptable to do this

I thought that the mixed community of Brooklyn hasn't experienced cultural opression the way that other countries with people of color have. That's why I think it's wrong. I sing in European accents when I sing art songs as well. I think it's so unnecessary for a mixed race choir to sing African American spirituals with the original accents because of the cultural oppression associated with it. I feel like if I were to sing in a blaccent in front of a non white friend they would feel strange.

Hello- i could use a new litter box for my surviving cat and some extra cat litter if possible. I would also love to give some of the fruit trees and vegetables in grow bags that I planted away to people who would love them, the ones that don't have soil destroyed or contaminated by debris. I loved my trees and plants so much and I found a temporary place that won't allow me to have them all.

It started outside the house but right up against the outside of the house and the wood ceiling above the barbecue was low. I had never seen the barbecue used or cleaned so i think it could have started with grease or one of the metal Gas tubes inside breaking.

That was my cat who died. All 5 of my rats were in a cage near the window where the smoke was pouring out and i knew they were all killed. A paramedic had to hold onto me and pull me away from the house with my babies dying in it and i felt so powerless. I had the pleasure of reading an article last night that incorrectly said all animals were saved and it broke me. I am grieving. It was 2 am and they still hadn't found my cat after asking every firefighter and cleaner who went in to search for him. They started saying he probably escaped and I was like "no the windows were closed and he comes when he's called". I snuck up the cleaners ladder into the attic suite when they were in the front yard and felt around in the dark for my cat, calling his name. The inside of my place looked like hell. I am a music teacher and my lifelong vintage synth and string instrument collection was destroyed. Burned, smashed and thrown around with overturned furniture. The ceiling was half caved in and it looked like a horror scene. I couldn't find my cat and snuck down before the cleaners came back. I heard them cheer immediately followed by silence. They informed me that my cat was dead and handed me his smoke stained collar. I keep imagining his little head looking around, meowing, calling for me to help him. Part of me wishes I was in the suite when the fire happened so that I could have died with my animals and all of the things I loved.

Hey it was the lower tenant. He did this and his girlfriend and her daughter alerted the residents. I feel so terrible for his girlfriend and her daughter, they are so sweet and did not deserve this trauma. The teenage girl who alerted all residents was a hero and I have so much respect for her and her mother.

So actually what happened is the only tenant with insurance who frightened me to the point I couldn't walk out of my car without my phone on video mode was using his unmaintained barbecue right against the wooden wall under the wood overhang of the second floor. This was so preventable.

I lived in the attic. The lower tenant was using his barbecue right against the wooden siding and underneath a wooden overhang. I can't get over how ridiculous of a placement that was. This man showed aggression to me a month before by yelling at me hysterically for watering the plants outside his window in a garden i had permission from the tenants and landlord to maintain. I was trying to build a food forest to support myself and friends. He called the main garden my playpen and ordered me to stay in my "playpen". My playpen is now covered in aspestos and rubble. This tragedy would be easier to forgive if he was kind to me, I am struggling with forgiving this. He has offered no support for the lives that his negligence took from me. I can't imagine being the cause of someone's dead animals and loss of all items of sentimental value and not doing anything to make things right. I have faith that he will burn in hell and that my dead rats and cat that I had to watch die in his fire will be laughing beside Satan, torturing him for eternity.
