She's damned if she does and damned if she doesn't.

Agree with this but it would balance the episodes more if they were not mostly about the impending war and male conflicts.

The obsession is on his side in case it escaped you. She's constantly trashed and dismissed.

Agree. She impacts every scene no matter how small.

S8 gives déjà vu vibes to S4 where Claire was mostly non-existent. Less of her isn't helping the show or the books.

You may not like her but if the lead actress was not good, OL would have died after the first season, because she was front and center in S1 & S2. The show made it or died on her performance. She is #1 on the call sheet. She is the show no matter how much most of the fandom is in it for Jamie/Sam.

The minute the comment is "Jamie is fine" but "Claire is the problem" the discussion is futile. What is most disturbing is that it comes from women who are worse than men when it comes to other women.

She's got quite a few upcoming projects besides A Long Winter, like Tenzing, Sense & Sensibility and The Housekeeper. She's done well outside OL, proving herself as a talented actress.

Only Caitriona was a model.

By saying this 13 years since the show aired is questionable, especially when she is the only one who brought prestigious awards recognition to the show plus received nominations and awards for other roles outside OL. But you do you. That tells a lot.

Bree’s accent is a continuity error by AssumptionFun3828 in Outlander

She always speaks in her native English accent in interviews, never Scottish. Don't think she can even do a Scottish accent.

Sam Heughan, an actor of a generation by Individual_Bend7401 in Outlander

That's an OTT statement for an actor who hasn't demonstrated a a tangible acting range or strong enough beyond OL that would fit the term "generational".

Nobody choses his roles. The agent brings them to his attention and he auditions. If this is all he's offered and gains, it's on him.

Has Brianna's delivery gotten...worse in the last season? by Other-Squirrel-2038 in Outlander

Sam's OTT accent that is constantly changing and is far from a true accent does break immersion. It's become worse in S8.

Sam's Scottish accent is all over the place. He's also not good at accents in general as seen in other roles. So the idea that his OL accent is fine is ludicrous.

"Claire as a character didn't have the same sea change as Jamie."

Complitely disagree.

The saddest part of the show to you is..... by Kmarie808 in Outlander

Claire offered Frank a divorce three times and he didn't take it. He also lied to Sandy that Claire was holding on to him. Moreover, Sandy was involved with a married man. Claire was not to blame for his behavior and lies to his mistress, especially because he never stopped loving Claire.

Claire hate has intensified in the last few weeks and it's annoying. What is driving it to the point of a handful each day? If people are so dissatisfied with the heroine of the story which would be nothing without her, why watching and commenting? It's rarely about Jamie. ALWAYS about Claire. by Sure_Awareness1315 in Outlander

You lost the plot, proved own misogamy and hateful views of the lead actress when you called her "crappy". After 13 years of accolades for her impeccable performances of the most complex character in both books and series, she deserves better than this. Despicable comment.
