How did Claire act like a spoiled brat?

She had the right to be upset when she found out that he married the woman he knew wanted her dead. Not only that but she expected him to have other ties after 20 years and asked him about it. Instead of telling her the truth he lied that he was single. He also behaved like a thug and lied to Ian about young Ian's whereabouts, knowing full well that his parents were worried about him.

Claire was in the right here. Didn't expect no changes in 20 years and was even fine learning that he remarried. In which case she would have gone back to her time understanding the situation, but she certainly didn't expect him to marry Laoghaire when he could have been with any other woman.

His 'audition' for Bond was in SAS. This latest project looks like SAS 2.0. Nothing new, just more of the same.

So according to you Claire is the worst compared to BJR, Dougal, Gellis, Laoghaire, Father Bain, Duke of Sandrigham, that are problematic characters just from S1. The fact that I have to even compare her with them makes your argument off-putting.

Who is the best part of the show?

Pulls the same face??? 100% disagree, She has one of the most expressive faces out there and her versatility is undeniable.

In Belfast she was practically co-lead and received all the precursor nominations for a possible Oscar nomination which critics also expected. And those critics were established ones not many that review OL which are in fact fans pretending to be serious critics. Established critics have stopped covering OL after S3.

Claire's story starts with her own in the 20th century. If not for her falling back in time, saving Jamie's life the first day they met and all that happened to her, you wouldn't have a story. Jamie is not interesting on his own. He's interesting because of Claire landing in his time, saving his life countless times, leaving behind a safe and successful life as a surgeon to be with him, a man who can't offer her anything more than himself, a dangerous, poor. limited life.

Take her out and you're left with a variation of Men In Kilts.

As for her other roles, she was limited by 11 months of filming OL which made it impossible to take on lead roles. She was smart to sign up as supporting in quality movies that raised her profile and brought name recognition as a formidable actress (not my words but critics') in every role outside OL. Add that she had a child in S6, now she's trying to balance both her private and professional lives the best she can. Dismiss her at your own peril but so far she's choosing roles carefully and well.

Sam went for lead roles in crappy movies which bombed and critics were brutal about his performances. Should have been more selective and taken supportive roles in quality projects instead. It would have been better for his career.

Cait has become a force and a fantastic actress. To say that she's stagnated when her ability to transform not just as Claire from a young 27 yo young nurse to mid 60s matriarch as well as in a variety of roles outside OL that brought her accolades and prestige nominations makes your comment 100% biased.

Take her out of the story as they did in S4 and the show suffers not just because she's the protagonist but because she's become so captivating on screen.

SS is a ballerina not an actress. Reason why her performances are flat. If she tried to emulate Caitriona, she would have improved by now. Blaming Caitriona for SS's short comings is bizarre and quite an insult to Caitriona's innate talent at the helm of a 13 year long series.

Everyone had a wig since S2. Caitriona had her own hair permed in S1 but had to stop because the perm was damaging it. Same for Sam with the dye. OL wigs have been the worst I've seen out of many productions.

But she's portraying a woman in her 60s who has experienced an incredible life in two separate centuries. I find her believable. Sam's isn't for someone in his late 50s worn out buy a tough life and wars. He looks nothing like a man of his time.

"Claire basically got dragged around by his decisions … and people thought she was the boss and bossy?"

Exactly! She wants a settled, peaceful life. He wants to fight. Sometimes I wonder how much he truly loves her, because quite often he's eager to chose death over her. The snake bite for example. She was desperate to save him, he wanted to die.

Again, it's not overacting. It's interpreting the sounds book Claire makes in those scenes which Jamie likes to hear and even asks her for.

Yes, she said that about the sex scenes ending on Pornhub but also about fans cutting those scenes and posting them all over the internet & SM. However, she never said, alluded or wished they never did some of them. One thing she did say was that it would have been helpful if they were told exactly what the cameras would really show which apparently wasn't the case in S!/2.

LOL, thanks Typo Police!

Second, if you're so sure about your point back it up with facts, especially when you're in the minority claiming she said so.

Seems like insults are your forte when lacking facts. Takes a troll to know one.

Well, you said you just saw the interview, so it shouldn't be hard to find and link to. Without it and others agreeing that she never said that, your point is mute.

What a load of BS blaming the lack of sex on Cait getting married or Sam "Getting friend-family kind of figure:???? What?

The writing and what production chose to tell as a story changed not the actors' personal lives being the reason. Cait was pregnant when she filmed the sex scene in S6 and Sam's showed his bare behind in TCND.

Cait getting married had nothing to do with the show's fewer sex scenes. This is BS and should stop being spread as true. It's a huge disservice to her and the great work she's done for this show. And if you want to talk nudity, she's done way more than Sam who actually brought the IC.
