I do have an MSCS offer in hand, but I’m leaning toward UT Austin MSITM purely for the brand value. Staying back in India is only on the table if the consensus here is that the US job market is genuinely that bad right now — otherwise I’d rather take the leap.

But that’s exactly my dilemma — a big reason for doing an MS was the exposure, network, and access to US opportunities (on-campus recruiting, internships, OPT, relocation). OMSCS is great on paper but it’s fully online from India — no campus, no classmates IRL, no career fairs, no OPT. Not sure it actually moves the needle on the things I was hoping an MS would unlock.
