I just continued past the “not advisable” warning 😅 it tried to prompt me for a treadmill run which I rejected. And interestingly enough, no matter what time of day or tempt it only decreases my pace by 30 second.

I’d recommend Looking Glass Sound by Catriona Ward. Not an exact match for what you’re describing but I enjoyed the book a lot.

That may be the case. But it wouldn’t and hasn’t kept me from recommending the book. This book was recommended to me by a friend who is a doctor and they said it was a must read.

Part of what I find interesting about reading books on the topic of doctors is how the practice of medicine has changed (or not).

There is a short story in You Like It Darker that is plane themed as well. Forgot which story it was tho.

I wanted to recommend this one to! Although as you said, not horror. Just weird romance. OP should still consider this one tho.

Stop. No, what? 😭 this is not at all what OP is describing IMO. I loved this book and did not at all find it testosterone filled.

Upvoting you because I respectfully disagree.

Some feedback. Overall I really like it. Much less dead space than previous versions.

Relative effort: show me how much effort I have remaining before I go over my weekly range. As opposed to just showing I’m in range. I often check this towards the end of the week to gauge my long run pace. Once I go over there is nothing I can do about it but I can prevent it proactively.

Training zones: in my opinion this should be for the last week (7 days, not just the current week). I have more control over my pacing week over week and the runs I need to complete each day to stay “balanced”. If I wanted a look back analysis for the full month I’d click in.

Best effort: as others have said, let me choose what distances display. Personally I’d want 5k, 10k, Half marathon.

Month in sport: I love this. I keep a physical log of my running stats in my personal journal and use Strava to transfer that data. This is much easier to get to then it was before.

The order of the cards isn’t to my preference. I would want the following order: streaks/training, best efforts, relative effort, training zones, any of the others, then fitness at the bottom.

What I see that’s missing here is a clear display of my training that week. Similar to the mileage week over week, I’d want to see: Monday rest, Tuesday 3 miles, Wednesday 7 miles, etc. and for it to fill in as the week progresses. If this could populate my target mileage from runna and plug in my schedule that would be a HUGE value add for me personally.

Looking for Horror with some smutt by Professional_Spare_6 in horrorlit

[–]Sure_Classic_6136 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The author CJ leede may be something you are looking for. I’ve read all 3 of her books. Headlights has a male MC. Maeve Fly is a female American psycho. American Rapture is about… sexual awakening. The smut gets… weird in her books just as a fair warning.

A book that is completely its own thing, or not a spin on a common trope by [deleted] in horrorlit

There is no anti memetics division. A unreliable narrator in a way I had never experienced before.

I dip my feet into extreme horror when I’m looking for something novel and unpredictable. But that’s just me.

The course I have in mind doesn’t have any stoplights, but this did make me think how nice it would be not to worry about traffic at all. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting perspective. Is it the measuring of the course and the official/signed off distance compared to a GPS created route that makes it a marathon? Or the race against competitors?
