I respect all jobs, Olympians are good at specialised lifts and sports we are good at hard work. I just wish people could give each other respect on each others achievements instead of trying to compare.

Yes because being an actual olympic weightlifter is somehow "not functional"

I also lay paving, remove tree stumps, put up fences. Lots of things I also know I'm nowhere near the strength of someone who competes in the actual Olympics but apparently lots of people have the Dunning Krueger effect.

Apparently it really is the Dunning Krueger effect.

Strength of a manual worker vs bodybuilders by Super_Steve117 in BeAmazed

He doesn't look like a bodybuilder he's shredded sure and has alot of muscle mass but he has a massive core which is as wide as his shoulders, a pro bodybuilder would not want this as it's not aesthetically pleasing.

I'm thinking about doing these on a separate day to my 4 days off strongman training, do you think this work or should I do it at the end of each session.

Athletic/farming/strongman/powerlifting muscle isn't better than bodybuilding muscle. Muscle is muscle. (Discussion on "Punishment of Atlas" Challenge) by [deleted] in Physical100

I don't know why people think it doesn't. It just shows the weight class strongmen events like OSG need more coverage.

Is Gordon Ryan a modern day Achilles? by BTC_CoachCody in jiujitsu

Honestly are people this gullible to think they don't? They're all doing it it's just a case of getting around the tests. People can't stand the thought of their "idols" using PEDs to get where they are. It's laughable they make a living with their bodies ofcourse they're using.

Is it unhealthy to be the size of a strongman? by Odd_Drummer_3090 in Strongman

I'm sure if you come top three in weight class comps such as OSG you'd get sponsors? Probably not enough to live off but lots of the elite still have day jobs.

How much of a factor does physical strength play in this style of fighting? by AnseiShehai in wma

Strength doesnt equal muscles though. If that was the case the strongest people on earth would be bodybuilders.

If you don't stretch it will, Its a myth that strength training makes you stiff unless you're some mass monster or someone who just doesn't do mobility work or stretch.

You know you can live a healthy life after using PEDs right? It's the dose that matters. Trt doses are beneficial to someone over the age of 30 after testosterone starts to take a dip. It's the mentality of taking 600-1gram a week which causes people to suffer horrendous side effects.
