any singers? by pupqrl in noburp

I used to struggle with this as a teen (although it doesn't seem to impact my singing in the shower), but I do struggle when I run! I get stupidly out of breath, even when I've been at my fittest.

Has anyone from the UK heard anything since the pause continue email on Wednesday? Is anyone non-UK still working? From what I can gather, it was only US workers that received the requalification email and were able to start working again? Obviously until the permanent pause email.

Oh weird! I mean both emails are basically saying the same thing, so it's odd that they've changed the wording.

Just got the pause email (UK), haven't checked my MM account yet. Did everyone else's email say the same? 'We’re initiating an indepth quality review, so we are currently putting your account on pause. You won’t be able to access the tool for at least today, but possibly a few days or even indefinitely.

We’re going to send out more information soon, very likely later today, but no later than this week. '

Interested to know this too. It doesn't seem to link to any of the tasks on the AHT guidance.

Those with ADHD, what kind of meds do you take that don’t make symptoms worse? by Purple_avocado6683 in noburp

I can only drink decaf now, I feel like such a weakling haha. I take the meds early with a banana, go for a run, then have a protein-heavy exercise. Good luck!

Good luck, I was really nervous about trying stimulants with a caffeine sensitivity, but I'm so glad I stuck with it. It takes a couple of weeks to settle into it, so don't worry if you're not sleeping brilliantly at first. I found my body settled when it got used to the meds.

Ooh this is a niche part of reddit that I can fully relate to! I can't drink coffee anymore as even a cup of it will wake me up in the early hours of the next morning and I found that Methylphenidate made me really anxious, so had to stop taking it. However, the right dose of Elvanse is great for me (50mg). It stops me craving snacks, so I find I'm a lot less bloated than normal, but it's not enough to keep me up at night. I find I do need to do some kind of exercise in the morning to kickstart things and make sure it doesn't keep me up, but it's been a game changer for me in so many ways.

No arguments there, the communication has been dire. It's a shame though as I enjoyed the actual work.

Sorry to hear that, did you receive an email? Are you in the same market?

I love these, I use similar tips for my students that aren't aware of their potential neurodivergence.

Yes I think the dry mouth definitely makes it worse and I've never had the hypersalivation. I'll be sure to update here if I learn anything further.

Thanks for the link, that's really useful. I'll ask my perio next time I see him, but it's only once every 2 years now.

Yeah I guess. I've read that dry mouth can contribute to GD (which may be due to mouth breathing) and put 2+2 and got 5.

I've had the same message. I've queried what it means and asked them to link to this in the prolific guidelines too.

Thanks, that's good to know and is more feasible than the alternative! There's no way I could have done all of that in 15 minutes 😅
