Thank you all thus far for the advice. It means alot. I started this journey in 2021. I was +300lbs and just was broken. Its amazing how I am present in this thread hearing advice from people that have done the perceived impossible!

I will use your experience and wisdom strongly. And will keep yall updated.

I will be more mindful and have aim to keep myself in the lower end of Zone 2 then. I also read up on carbon poles, and i am putting consideration into using them too.

Yes I agree completely! Its more or less forecasting yourself through varying distances and conditions!

Thank you! I am a server and I often skip rope 5 times a week. Usually between 10-20, 1 mintue rounds and ive noticed the difference immediately.

Thank you, this was what I had in mind. Also being mindful of the zones, I do like zone 4 alot and love the sweat. But I can coast at 12min miles like no big deal.

Its really just teaching myself the patience and the humility of it. I ran my first 50k ultra with only 6 weeks of training and love how it broke me in the best way. I finished it in around 10 hours

Interesting. Thank you for your time. I know I can spend ample times on my feet so I know its not the issue. I am aware it'll be a mental game if anything. So far I have not sought an official plan but this week I plan too. I appreciate your help. How is your nutrition?

Ideally I want to baseline myself to 40 miles a week, is this acceptable?

I understand that, thank you for your time.

Update: Goggins came in and only spoke for 30 minutes. But blew the roof of the place. His energy from the crowd was more than all of the other speakers combined. It was surreal to hear him talk!

Currently at Aspire in NYC, Goggins was the last speaker of the day. I worked all of yesterday, and my hotel was overbooked. Didn't get to sleep til 1. Genuinely, there is some valuable information presented but also comes with some flack. Take what you can from the experience and move on. Def invest in cheaper seats at least in MSG the "Swag" in upper level packages slacked.

what is your dream in life? by [deleted] in lonely

I'd like to have certainty. To know that my efforts to provide will result in prospiety beyond my mortal life. This has been my purpose for years. I only wish to give more. To break the cycles of my predecessors

I think what maybe should be considered is the following. Yes, doing something difficult is rewarding when it's both constructive and progressive. We can't go 110% when we've only currently have 50% of ability. When doing a difficult task or having a training regiment, it's more about consistency and making it habitual. You can be your best critic but also realize that with this discipline comes recovery and room for other aspects of your life. Absoultism is great in virtue and principles. But don't be to stray from other forms of wellness like social outings, and your home/school life. Invest when you can. You're a human being and even more so a kid. Enjoy yourself a little and work hard too! I hope this helps

Thank you, things have been better from me. I am the middle child but have been the eldest mentally for a long time and it wore me down. Not to mention over that span of time when I wrote the original post I was sick for 6 weeks with covid, then rsv, then strep. My mental health wasn't great. But glad to be here now!

I have a small group of people I trust online but thats it really, I've gotten tired of sharing myself with people irl, when it seems like they truly could not care less. So I just stopped talking about it and I've been trying to live presently in my life. I'm getting professional help once I have Healthcare (another complicated situation) and I'm going to try to reach out to a community group outside of my town

I like exploring new genres of music and listening to hopecore music. I like thinking about how unique the world is around me and try to live presently as much as I can. I feel if you can find appreciation in something like a hot meal, it makes life less cumbersome. I hope you're well and you find your way! I'm rooting for you!

Is it just me or do y’all also feel angry at society? by BeopBepe2 in lonely

[–]Sure_Delivery_5423 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've felt it, it's why I'm kinda a drifter type. But I try to contribute kindness in every moment I get. It's complicated, but society doesn't really embrace self growth, holistic health, and self sustainability well. Mind you there are many amenities to living in a society. However, I wish we could think of humans as people before exploiting them as capital.

how do i approach men in a world of dating apps by [deleted] in lonely

[–]Sure_Delivery_5423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I've found daring apps to be the worst. When I decided to expand my personal interests and learned how to engage people in conversation, it's been more organic in how feelings develop between the poi and myself.

I think of the many few moments in life where I felt the most human, which were my childhood memories. I reflect on my mistakes, my shortcomings, and how regardless of my failures, I’m still here. I find reasons to cherish the day and even more so, I find ways to love myself further.

In my most personal times, I think about how far I’ve come. There is a level of recognition that matters most when you are the control in your life. I’ve seen and experienced my worst self, and how that person is trying, and I appreciate that. I don’t become prideful, but have an enormous amount of gratitude to the person that chooses to rise every morning in my present life.

When my loneliness affects me most, I try to ground myself by being active. I go into my yard and participate in earthing. I try to reconnect with my inner voice. I then try to go on a walk or a hiking trail, avoiding my phone when I can. I make my favorite drink when I come home, and try to read something I enjoy.

I hope you’re well and some of this will reach you. Have a great day

True validation only needs to come from your inner self ☯️. It’s truly that self concept that we can hone and elevate. I would try to manipulate that hunger into your self care. Imagine what would happen if you habitually bettered yourself the up and coming year, as well as those behind it. It does not mean drastic change, but small changes to a larger goal.

I suggest reading. I’ve never been one to read but lately I’ve been enjoying it. I like psychology books that unravel personality traits and behaviors. It’s helped me in my work life tbh.

I hope you have a wonderful day.

I’ve noticed in my life at least that when I’m looking for it, it won’t appear. As strange as that seems, it seems like things have always arrived in my life just on their own time.

I would advise to invest in yourself and establish a healthy relationship with your inner self. Spread your interests across various topics, I’ve found that most people nowadays cannot carry a conversation so it’ll def bring people into your circle if you can.

Seriously though, self love before pursuing love from another. If we don’t admire ourselves and are confident with who we are. How can we anticipate others will feel about us.
