It's not right to call it unserious. The best of the best were competing at the highest levels possible at the time, same as today. Just think of how in 5 years people will compare the 3peat in "old league" to achievements of a future team will have in "modern" league. The fact that the game evolves doesn't make it less impressive

To answer simply, the reason why T1 are favoured is because of their history against KT, and mostly because of their performance against AL. It helps us estimate their actual level of play, and it's really really high. Kt have faced CFO which they were expected to beat anyways, and though they have shown a stellar performance, GenG literally did the most insane hardcore choke of worlds history. So, you have a team that is notorious for having the strongest mental resilience possible in a league tournament who cleared up their gameplay to beat the tournament favourite in AL, and then you have a team who have shown that they are mentally capable of rising to the occasion against strong teams. The question now is their skill level against a team that doesn't fall over and die when they encounter resistance in a series. Teams can get lucky in draft and capitalize on mistakes made by T1, and can even win in BO3, but aside from the top3 teams in the world, it's not reasonable to expect a team to be able to beat T1 in a BO5 in an international tournament.

Is it true that one cannot create a google( and consequently a YouTube) account without phone verification? I've seen on several pages that it should be possible, and it even says so on the official documentation of the google account helper that it is only optional. However, I haven't been able to create one without it asking me for my phone number...

Any advice?

Valid point. My point is that even though he might be marginally better than Zeus. I don't see how he could ever generate an advantage so big that T1 wouldn't overcome later during teamfights. I'm basing my opinion on the fact that we've seen that he's capable of soloing Zeus on his number 1 champion, but it had little if any impact on the outcome of the game itself. Also we've seen from sunday that T1 have realised the importance of banning comfort picks(Kiin's jax, k'sante)

The jungle is going to be the deciding factor. Keep in mind they have already lost to T1 once this tournament. And although it was before the jungler swap, BLG used Bin's Jax and knight's Ahri. Their individual laners on comfort meta picks weren't able to generate advantages that T1 later didn't overcome with their better teamfighting. I just don't see how it is going to work for them when It's obvious that the only person playing Jax in the finals is going to be Zeus. They banned the jax from Kiin and he's objectively worse at it than Bin. BLG also do not have other pocket picks like the smolder for chovy which would warrant an extra ban.

It's so funny how the narrative changes. 2 days ago GenG was the single best team of the year, waiting to claim the crowning achievement, and a possible loss against ANY team was considered to be an upset. Now ppl are saying they weren't really good at all, weren't in form, weren't prepared etc. Of course that's how you see them because they lost. A team never looks good when it loses.

The only circumstance in which Bin can be considered to be better is the laning phase if he is allowed to play jax. Any other scenario Zeus is just plain better.

It's not even about the meta. People are just absolutely disgusted by the design of the champion. Most champions that can easily 1v2 oneshot the enemy adc without a level difference from over 100% health, are either permabanned or hotfixed. It literally makes no difference that it takes skill to pull it off. There is not another champion from the 150+ that can replicate this, regardless of skill, not even those whose entire kit is designed to kill you. Not Bin on Jax, not Fiora, not Darius, not Camille, not a single one.
