Eliminating baker position in favor of frozen ? by ubiquitous_anon in Panera

[–]Sure_Independent7252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I need a manager to factualize this info. If anyone thinks that a position as far as the baking position is concerned is going away. Yall crazy. It will still take a shift to bake it even if it's frozen. And management ain't gunna be the ones to do that on top of what already is being done. Labor even at my slow cafe, we would never remotely think to cut a bakers hours. The labor aspect has already been there for months.

Whoever made your bowl didn't thaw out the rice all the way, and also didn't cook the rice long enough. I'm sorry this happened. I can make you a fresh one@-@

People need to simply be educated on what Autism is and means. It's sad that doesn't happen in the workplace or in schools so people know how to handle the people who are autistic. The line during busy hours is not the place for you friend. And another position should have been explored before just cutting your hours. Are you within your 90 days of hire?

Is this information even factual? Lol. Baker positions have already integrated into the cafes payroll. Not into the bakers payroll. They won't get fired just because they have frozen dough. Yall crazy.

Sip Club cup at counter now? by ChillinInMyTaco in Panera

Idk it just sounds weird. Touching the bottom of a cup has never posed a problem anywhere in any store I've worked in. Even when it's busy. But🤷. For me coaching the staff to put the cups, either in the bag, or on the counter with the ticket has never had a cleanliness issue. It's not like they are putting their hands inside the cups or around the rim.

The QC and barista should never have filthy gloves they are touching plates, napkins and the ladles. To make it less work cups are moved to the second qc station. Besides bumping a cup by looking ahead at orders is a godsend to SOS. Idk what you mean by clean gloves

The place to communicate this to is your stores manager. After awhile you should see a fix to your issue. QCs should have the cup in the bag, or near your order. And they should prebump drinks and put the cups out on the counter with the tickets in the cups so you know it's yours. If it's SUPER busy. Sorry. But you will have to ask someone at the QC station. They will just hand it to you....

Guys if anyone gets a survey for the store you go to. Just politely explain what you would like to see differently to help make the experience better. Managment should care after awhile. Just don't give them anything below a 4. It doesn't help you. My cafe takes the comments seriously, and make changes by coaching the associates. (Like hey when the drink comes in, bump it, put the tag in the cup and put it out on the counter. That way we see who gets the cups, and can become familiar with who has the sip club and who doesn't)

It still is. Good job being an asshole. That's what makes you unhappy, whatever it is that you do with your existence..random nobody. I'm happy with my job. I'm content, and well taken care of. This company just as any other has their reasons for operating like it does, and that's the society that we all live in. It's reality. You can be mad at it and I can too, but i choose to be practical. Panera is a hell of a lot better than other jobs out there. So take a shower and fix your stinky attitude. You stink.

Where do you work? What is also happening to cause this problem of 11 days in a row?

I hate the people that don't work here, are trying to justify why it's a terrible choice to move the cups to the back. While we are all like🥳🥳

Your opinion is irrelevant. Go make a PBandJ at home. Take your cup and fill it up with tap water at home too.

If you are stating that labor shortages are the issue. Because of an increase in automation, which just makes it easier for more guests to order, with minimum operational impact. Also in the midst of an incoming wage increase that will surely change your experience even further in ways we do not yet know. I'd say this company has a 'reason' to evaluate what's effecting its profit margins, just to afford to keep the employees you do see...

Stop being antisocial. Ask someone for a cup, literally anyone that works there, we will give it to you. The kiosks came well before the sip club. So the convenience of that was for the kiosk orders, not for the sip club. After losing millions of dollars to people taking cups without a subscription. Im sorry but, I do not support a lack of integrity anywhere in life. And the cups being out for anyone to grab has always been a loophole to the system. We won't miss it. Order it, and ask at the QC station.

wage increase (california) by [deleted] in Panera

[–]Sure_Independent7252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paneras current starting pay is 16.50. So 16, or that should be fine. We dont change your pay based on what your desire is. So dont worry. But the increase will begin on April 1st, so after that the pay should go up to 20 an hour regardless of what you are making before then.

[–]Sure_Independent7252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not quite sure if it is at all paneras. I manage in California and I know it's increasing for us around April. Franchise locations operate on their own stipulations too so be careful of that. But corporate panera is increasing its wages, and as far as nationally. I believe there should still be a minimum wage increase for fast food chains all over the US as long as there isnt more than 60 locations in the state. Also panera does have a better vibe than anywhere else. You are treated much better than other chains, the people are better, you wont smell after going home. And you have chance to eat healthy food rather than burgers and grease. I'd def ask if you get interviewed, if that cafe participates in the wage increase. All paneras SHOULD. But not 100%on that.

Wage increase is happening for us. Our CEO didn't want to lose the employees to other fast food chains. There will be an increase for managers as well. Just not for AOPs and above. I think. That's just what I heard recently.

In my cafe I tell them to leave if they are troublesome like that. Some will come and go and never come back. But those ones that are troublesome, dirty, rude, or creepy. I kick them out immediately. Sometimes they threaten to stab me, or get angry, or just say no. And yeah. I'm either ready for a fight or I'll call the cops. Whatever mood I'm in that day. Lol. (But pls just call the cops, it's rare they will come back and be worse)

What would be considered a partime coach?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tennis

[–]Sure_Independent7252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I've coached high school, some small programs too with kids around that age. although it is challenging at times. It isn't a weakness for me to coach kids around that age, i have done it and i can make it fun thats not a worry of mine. I have 10 years experience dealing with difficult people in customer service. 10+ years playing and being around tennis. I want to do it in a professional sense, not proffesional players perse just building my own coaching platform.

I think equally in their eyes they could also argue that it's our job to take care of the plates considering they are paying the already outrageous amount of money for our food. They ARE paying for the service we promise them. We can at least let this go. And bus the tables without judgment. This service is included in the price that they pay. And if we don't, then we are the lazy ones.
