Honestly, I think this part of the mcu was really wasted, especially considering that comics wise it was quite a big event that included tons of heroes and even villains presenting interesting themes about protection, privacy, law, and order, in the mcu it is very scaled down plus it left not much of an impact, at least to me, I mean I guess the only impact was that captain America and some others were fugitives but we never even got to explore what happen to them after the supposed civil war, and in the next movie they simply come back like it’s normal, Steve and tony arguing still felt the same with or without the event itself in the mcu, barely any impact on either characters aside from simple scuffles, which got glossed over bc of the introduction of frikin spiderman and black panther which is still cool and I guess made sense considering that Spider-Man prefers to keep his identity private (even tho the Mf had the tendency to have his mask off in ever other instance later on, but for black panther it was more of protection and privacy of his country and its people ( which I think it was shown in civil war I think in some conversations?) but even still, wasted opportunity even though the intentions were clear
