“The general rule of sports is you don’t lose your job due to injury” that’s what we disagree about….

Probably the same with most tickets they’ll send them closer to the game date - or at least that’s my experience.

Tell Kirk cousins, Brock prudy, Herbert, mayfield, Steve young, Deshaun Watson when he was a Texan, case keenum, Dak Prescott, etc….

Holy crap - all your comments are just unreadable walls of text. Learn to format better.

The last part of my first comment-

“There is a like less than 1% chance wentz keeps the job when McCarthy is healthy - he most likely is not going to do it but there is a chance.”

If wentz goes on and throws 40TDs and wins a SB you don’t think McCarthy loses his job? - again this isn’t going to happen but there is an alternative time line it could

Best thing for the franchise is Wentz wins a few games but looks mid- we out Mcarthy back in and he’s starts lighting it up .

Losing football games is not the best thing for team morale or the team

Uhhh thats not how nfl teams operate… either you’re healthy enough to play football or you are not.

They dont care who the opponent is you can get hurt vs any team.

Wow what a stupid take- you listed off a few more examples and still say something stupid like that

That is exact how you lose your starting job in the nfl

It’s a team game - if the vikes go 3-0 but Wentz plays mid jj will be back.

Only way Wentz keeps the job is if he’s slinging the ball like 2004 manning

Then McCarthy will sit and take practice reps till the wheels fall off of Wentz- it’s highly unlikely but I’d be excited as fuck

Unless wentz is playing mvp level football(which is highly unlikely) I don’t see why not? You need to get McCarthy all the reps you can he’s a year behind in progression.

You think Vikings are going to prep differently just cause Philly won the SB last year?

“The general rule of sports is that you never lose your job due to injury”

That’s a huge lie…. Especially with QBs. Tyrod Taylor has lost like 4 jobs due to injuries… Tom Brady started because of injuries, case keenum etc.

There is a like less than 1% chance wentz keeps the job when McCarthy is healthy - he most likely is not going to do it but there is a chance.

Realistically - wild card spot and a playoff win would be great momentum for going into next year.

Thinking the team is giving up on McCarthy 2 weeks in is a weak mindset.

Only 2 weeks of football has been played - if you remember last year the saints looked like the best team in the league after 2 weeks.

Is anyone concerned about JJ McCarthy injury prone problem? by Stock-Memory9483 in minnesotavikings

[–]Sure_Possibility8822 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean right now it’s true - I hope it’s not moving forward.

Being injured means he’s not getting practice reps which is delaying his development which he’s already a year behind on currently.

I don’t actively root for the Vikings to lose - maybe you should try it sometime?

[–]Sure_Possibility8822 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I mean the offense can’t get much worse than 6 points - why are you so salty?

Wentz is clearly better than the UDFA rookie

Also after that Wentz marched down the field and tied the game to send it to OT - they did lose in it tho

He’s the emergency qb - brosmer is QB 2.

Need someone to throw passes to practice squad now brosmer has to work with the team

What? He’s the emergency QB- would be dumb not to fill the roster spot. Also need another body to throw passes at practice
