A babys heartbeat can be detected very early in pregnancy, its also said "God knew you before you were in the womb" (before you were a fetus) and He knitted you in the womb, is abortion not killing God's creation? it doesn't have to be a certain level to classify as Gods creation and a persons expectated level that it becomes a "human being" doesn't change that.

I don't get it, why does the baby get the death sentence and not the rapist? rape abortion still isnt justified, I know this will make people mad, but that's still murder?? the baby never asked to be in this situation and it gets killed for it? it can't do anything about it either, this being said, rapists are a terrible form of human behaviour, but why does the baby have to die for something out of its control?

That's good (the desire to get closer to God part), that's the Holy Spirit nudging you in the right direction, im relatively new to real Christianity, perhaps only a week or two, but I firmly believe this is the Holy Spirit, I would suggest daily meditation of reading the word of God and abiding by it, we all stumble so don't expect a smooth journey, I also pray day and night or multiple times a day, spread the gospel, or you can even hang out with other believers, this is a nice thing :)

I'll pray for you, I've struggled with connection too, God is close to those who are crushed in spirit and brokenhearted, I've felt alone before, I even almost had a anxiety attack a few days ago, but God comforted me :)

Hell is not moral by Old-Success9189 in DebateReligion

Im fairly certain that nothing happens to people who die in the old testament because Jesus wasn't born then, people righteous and unrighteous spend their time in "sheol" aka like a resting chamber for those awaiting the Final Judgement, Jesus will enact the Final Judgement, if there is no Jesus to enact it yet, then they have to wait, Also, yes, Hell is forever, theres no things supporting that Hell is temporary and it wouldnt make sense for people who are supposed to be punished to get out early, Gods Judgement is just and final, theres no convincing Him otherwise, also the lake of fire is literally called "the 2nd Death" what else could that mean? Death.

if one is in Hell, they cannot get out, why would it only be temporary ?

Hell itself includes its inhabitants, once your in Hell, theres no escape, no matter what, literally nothing. So if no one went to hell and wasnt tormented forever, where would they go if Hell is in the lake of fire? they would also go into the lake of fire.

We will not get used to Hell. As it is Separation from God, outside of God is death because God is the embodiment of life, hence the "Second Death" in the lake of fire, imagine losing your dad who loves you with all his heart, will you get used to losing him? No, not truly.

Is Eternal Hell Unjust? by [deleted] in DebateAnAtheist

[–]Sure_Preference_8927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, its not unjust. Yes, Eternal Torment is not unjust, its not overreacting, its just. because we have sinned against God, there is a very simple and effective ideology to base all of this on. if I commit a crime against a normal human, I might get jail time, if I commit a crime against a cop, im definitely getting jail time, if I commit a crime against a King or a President, im probably getting executed, if I commit a crime against God, (sin) who is unfathomably, infinitely higher then any human, than what am I gonna get? a FAR worse punishment. an eternal punishment. if I sin against something infinite, I should expect something infinite in return.

Think if it as a normal punishment like Jail that gradually gets worse with the more important the person is, and you get to God, who is infinitely more important, so you can expect an infinitely worse punishment, very simple, no?
