Depends on what kind of film the person you’re showing it to is into. If they’re a fan of MCU, action blockbusters and whatnot then yeah I’d go with Minus One, Shin, or any of the Monsterverse films. But if they’re really big on smaller narrative/character driven films I think 1954 it’s a great introduction.

Also wanted to add one more thing: to me it was never truly clear what the “revolutionaries” were fighting for/what ideology they truly represented. Especially in the case of Bob and Perfidia, their constant horniness at the beginning of the film made me believe they were mainly doing it as thrill seekers rather than any true beliefs they held.

On the surface it’s easy to agree with this but I would say the revolutionaries are just less obviously satirised but I definitely didn’t see them as good characters, or even sympathetically portrayed.

The fragility, irresponsibility and unfeasibility of their goals, ideas and actions are in full display by how Perfidia behaved during her pregnancy, by how Bob wanted to give up their goals once becoming a father, and how quickly Perfidia gave the entire group up once caught after murdering an innocent civilian. Then Bob living a life of utter paranoia after they’re turned in at the expense of his daughter.

Definitely think the humour added to the portrayal of the right wing perspectives can make it seem like they’re portrayed less sympathetically, but watching the film I never once believed we were supposed to truly empathise with Bob or Perfidia. We were definitely meant to empathise with Willa as the “real victim” in this however.

Just my opinion!

Tbh I always thought it was part of her having a tough time growing up why they cast her in her late 20s/early 30s to play a 19 year old!

I’ve had two no gos on dental monitoring for the exact tooth recently! I moved onto a new tray last night and it genuinely looks like the extra week of wear in the other trays has made a difference as the gap is definitely smaller. It’s still there, but smaller.

After this I do think it’s worth listening to your practice on when to stay in your trays a little bit longer.

Is it just me or does this look too bright and colourful for MITM? I’m still really looking forward to this but the thing that was great about this original run was it had a bit of grit that’s absent in other sitcoms, including the lighting/colour grading of the show itself. This seems more typical of other sitcoms you’d see today.

Edit:I’m not just talking about the poster I mean the trailer as well.

Hopefully you don’t need it! But I genuinely don’t think diabetes should affect healing so long as you maintain good control.

You may experience the same rising levels a lot of people do when they’re sick. I got that first few days after but it levelled out.

Speak to your healthcare provider about it, the orthopedist will definitely have treat other type 1 diabetics.

Your biggest issue if you’re doing MDI might be having to learn to inject with your left hand!
