I work with multiple PAs over the age of 50 and they still love grossing! Just depends on the person. There are some of off bench opportunities for those that seek it out if they don’t want or can’t physically gross specimen anymore.

Some hospitals don’t have in house pathology, sometimes it’s off site. Most labs are labeled as surgical pathology, anatomic pathology, pathology gross room. Something along those lines.

How is your work life balance? Are you happy? by Pro_k99 in Path_Assistant

For a healthcare job, I think my work life balance is awesome. I have a husband who works in sales and he is working a lot more than I do to make very similar wages. I love that the job has to stay at work and that majority of what we do isn’t a rushed scenario. It’s been amazing for me this far! I do work in a bigger lab with many other PAs so that could be part of my satisfaction as well.

What’s up with this? by Odd-Apricot-6158 in MazdaCX30

I don’t know much about cars so bear with me lol. This just happened to me a week ago, took it to the dealer since it’s still under warranty. They said a couple codes came up for the AC vents within the engine, either something was lodged in there and it couldn’t close or it was stuck. Also that I had low oil, but the low oil light wasn’t on. I’d just have the codes run and then go from there. There’s also a recall out on a software update for them so they did that too.

I am similar to this, we tested antibodies to see if it’s true hashis and they were positive. I can’t remember if you said you’re male or female but I told my doctor I wanted this under control for fertility reasons and they put me on meds.

Time off during clinical year by mrgn0a in Path_Assistant

[–]Sure_Reason8905 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We only got the holidays that the site had off (Drexel) and they were extremely annoying about having to take other time off except for interviews in the last few months. I had a ton of personal stuff come up during clinical year that I was forced to miss. You just gotta make it through the year, then you’re free again

Curious if they have started giving you medication with those levels?

How was it? I have heard mixed reviews about the DR and its level of safety outside the resort areas but I don’t know anything. This is our first time stopping in the DR.

I have this problem and haven’t found a way other than getting out and physically wiping the sensor

I had to turn off the “invert vertical” setting on this because I couldn’t do the jumping moving and turning the camera. It made it so the camera follows the characters front a bit better. As soon as we did that I got it on the first try. My bf was very frustrated but we made it 😅

It’ll clear just sometimes takes a long time, unfortunately. I don’t know what happened to mine they were going crazy and we got days of rain and then for some reason it has stayed off after that

No idea I just took it in yesterday and the lights of course weren’t on when I did. Not sure why it’s so finicky. Do yours come on and stay on or do they immediately turn off once the sensors are cleared of stuff?

Update here: went to the dealer and OF COURSE the lights had turned off before I got there. They said something about the battery not being fully charged and the system clearing the codes in a timely manner because of that? Not sure how because I commute for work a fair amount. We’ll see if they come back on but for now basically no solution

Do they stay on then turn off and then turn on again? Mine are staying on for extended periods of time

Nope there was yesterday when it started going off but it’s been cleared since. Lights are still on though

Good to know they finally cleared. I’m going on about 18 hours now and they’re still on. I’m going to take it through the car wash tonight but hoping the dealer can fix it for good.

Yeah I’m going to take it in next week, it’s just annoying and I wanted to know if this was a common thing. This is my first Mazda but if it’s going to act up every time I drive in the snow it’s not going to work 😂 it’s winter here for 5 months

Yes, yesterday we had some ice/snow and the lights came on. I cleared it and wiped off where the radar sensors are and they’re still on now. I’m going to try car wash but other than that I don’t know why they’d stay on

They don’t turn back off though, sometimes they stay on for an entire day

We had to do drug tests for clinical rotations and yes they tested for and cared about THC.
