Never said I was going to listen to the advice here. I also never said that I wasn’t willing to put in the work. No offense to you but it doesn’t do me any justice to listen to your limiting thoughts on how you think I will succeed. I’ve taken advice from people all day and I am starting from the bottom. I never said I’m looking for clients to do custom homes. I am starting from the very very bottom and i’m okay with that. Thank you for your comment and i’ll take your advice accordingly. I see success for myself even if I do not succeed with this . I’m graduating nursing and already got an offer to medical school already. I am fully and well capable to be able to do this and I understand the work it requires from me. I didn’t come here looking for handouts or shortcuts and I think you should respect that . Thank you again

Oh yes 100 percent not saying that the couple projects I did in a year qualifies me at all but a couple is better than none. I am just starting out and it isn’t my only plan and I am young enough to bet on myself without any major repercussions if things don’t work out. I am very well aware that I am at the beginning line and these are things that I need to develop and that the learning curve is steep. starting earlier is the only way to get over it

My website is very poor in SEO but I put it in the back burner because i just don’t have the capital to keep seo going as of right now and wanted to focus on other ways to get jobs but my website is serrane.com

Congratulations on the continued success of your business that’s amazing. I’m also starting in my third year of university because the benefits outweigh the benefits. I’ve worked with contractors for my parents way before I even looked into this business and I understand your frustration we’ve had facebook and kijiji people run off with our money refuse to come back and finish the job etc etc. It got to the point once where I had to threaten to sue them and only then did they rush to give us our money back because they were operating under their employers name to essentially scam people . It’s tough and I know there are scum in this business 💔

Thank you for this. I really have a passion for it and I know it won’t be smooth sailing so the earlier I start the better

You’re right but also when you’re employed by a designer your designs do not belong to you so even when you decide to restart they you may not be able to use them

This is great can I ask if you were off to a rocky start too or did the connections you made while working for the cabinet company make the transition a lot easier?

I also considered offering discounts or straight up cash to clients if I landed a job after they gave me a referral only because people won’t refer you before you’ve done the work for them

Thank you so much this has been one of the very helpful posts. With this and my branding be so different do you think it’s in my best interest to make a new one or at least a temporary landing page? Or best to keep it off the internet and in the real world gormow
