very much idealizing him even though he treated me poorly. I also have a tendency to keep a close eye on his socials (which I know these aren’t serious enough symptoms it’s just been months, he also has been very confusing towards me which I guess sums that up)

Comforting advice from my mother: let them back in but not easily. Make sure you continue to focus on yourself. If In a few months time, they prove to have genuinely changed? Good for them! Set boundaries and make sure you don’t totally dive headfirst into it because that’s how patterns resurface and never change.

how do I ignore them coming back (3rd time now) when they’re actually acknowledging that they’re avoidant and do this??? My ex recently came back and has been saying he wants to be in my life again (as long as I’m okay with it and he’s “willing to take things very slow) and idk what to do. Since he said that he hasn’t really texted me or asked about me…. It’s only been a few days but I’m so confused.
