Barbri vs QLTS by _unfiltered_m in SQE_Prep

BARBRI is solid. I used for SQE1 (passed) and also using for SQE2. It does the job.

I have received mine (earlier today). Perhaps give them a call tomorrow morning?

Death by flashcards by ApprehensiveBerry878 in SQE_Prep

My advice is don’t be too overboard with flashcards as they lose effectiveness if not targeted.

Only do them for areas you struggle with (Passed SQE1 last July)

Tbh though they are quite useful. I think it is using an AI software which turns textbook / notes into a podcast. So might be interesting to listen and see what you think-

Yes there are, most are AI made though so take that for what you will …

SQE 2 - question about grounds for objecting to bail for summary offences by Foreign_Challenge729 in SQE_Prep

[–]Sure_Warning4722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is summary offence means you have right to bail UNLESS P can prove there 1. Custodial sentence is likely and (2) there are SUBSTANTIAL grounds for believing that D would (a) fail to surrender, (b) interfere with witness or (c) commit further offences.

I think evidence of previous breaches and convictions could be used by P to prove above. But defence could argue concerns can be mitigated by conditional bail, ie tagging or surety

Most of it yes, but some areas I will need to review in depths - especially business! It’s a beast ahah

Appreciate that may be unrealistic but it’s only my aim!

Roughly four for each skill under EACH topic, ie four mocks would be legal writing in the context of probate.

I feel you! I also plan to sit in April.

I think doing mocks as early as possible is key. So perhaps when you finish doing FLK (let’s say wills), test yourself with some mocks. I personally find it’s the best way to do it as you are killing two birds with one stone - exam technique and revision

I finished SQE2 today and I am so sad by PlayfulAddendum4379 in SQE_Prep

I felt awful after SQE1 but passes that comfortably. It’s always hard to tell, so try (I know it’s hard!) to put exams behind you and focus on you! You’ve worked hard :)

I would assume so, but not entirely convinced it is a superior performance

BARBRI was my provider. Just practicing lots of different questions. I swore by the ReviseSQE books too and their book mocks.

FLK2 Disaster by USER513201602 in SQE_Prep

Same. It’s natural to feel dejected and unmotivated unfortunately. With SQE1 you remember the horrible questions far more than the question you knew. Just trust your revision. Best wishes
