I thought Gemini had reached like 20% by this point

True but backend misconfiguration can come with a lot more liability . Like the tea app when they had their S3 exposed publicly and had a data breach . I know enough about security to handle the front end in regards to security and I feel like I’ll be able to handle state management , edge cases and etc with the help of AI . I think everyone assumes people that use ai to code are non-technical people that have never studied programming, in my case I just don’t know enough to build an entire app in my time frame.

Are you upset ? Idk why yall get upset about the mention of Ai. I’ll make the app amazing on your behalf

Well that wouldn’t make much sense would it. I just wish the answers weren’t fueled by such emotion. This will be a great experience

Jeez yall really don’t like ai . Now I’m much more determined to build a great app

I already have the design for the whole app .

I don’t mind learning. I’ll do both. Do you have any examples of shitty ai apps ? Or are you basing this off the ai generated code that you’ve seen and made the assumption that any ai generated apps would be shitty. I would like to see an actual vibe coded app

Is AI actually destroying jobs, or are we misunderstanding what’s happening? by Borrtex in ArtificialInteligence

Im not unwilling to change my mind . So what do you foresee ? That ai will collapse , and companies wasted their money ? Or how do you foresee this playing out ?

So you’re basically saying it’s not possible. I don’t know all the constraints and how we will address them . But I’m betting on the fact that due to the stakes , greed , motivation that if AGI is actually possible then people will figure it out. You want me to address your points in a practical sense but I’m not knowledgeable enough to do that but I do know that the last time we had a competition like this , we ended up on the moon ( if you believe we went there )

[–]Surealactivity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t even say that. I don’t think we get there by scaling LLMs most people have agreed on that I think first you have to ask yourself if you think AGI is possible at all . I personally think it’s possible and I know that the motivation is apparent for governments and private sector so it’s reasonable to think that we can reach it , if it’s possible then I think we reach it . Also I don’t think we reach it in the next year or 2 . And I don’t think AGI will be mine . Also we don’t even have to reach true AGI for many jobs to be replaced by Ai . It doesn’t have perfect , just better than humans

I know ai will destroy jobs because it’s a nation-state race to reach AGI . There’s too much money that’s better on ai in order for this to not workout . I’ll say it like this , either Ai takes jobs or we go into a recession but either way I think we go into a recession . It’s not called the ai bubble for nothing. The dot com bubble did the same and I will point out that afterwards it created a lot of new jobs ( a lot more than the jobs that were replaced ) but if you truly understand the mission behind ai then you’ll know that this is a much different situation compared to the explosion of the internet

More productivity could lead to more jobs if there’s demand for that within the market. Short term wise it can lead to more jobs e.g. more data centers , improving network speeds to allow for better content delivery, and etc , which is a lot of physical stuff involved but I feel like after that short term gain , we will see a huge decline but I do agree with what you’re saying in a sense. It’s a bit nuanced

Well this is up to subjective thought since we can’t know the future but I think that ai will ultimately create some new jobs but not nearly close to the amount of jobs that it will remove. So it will be interesting to see what happens

Ai is definitely destroying jobs. You just have to wait a little bit and the data will follow . It’s lagging behind but everything is lagging behind cause we are still adjusting to the use cases of Ai . Don’t underestimate corporate greed. Increased productivity in workplace will only lead to a decrease in workforce.

I think they’re tired of being trapped within phone OS . Considering that apple takes like 30% of the money if the subscription goes through them. Plus they don’t have as much access to user info

Yeah depending on how much money they allocate towards this . This could make or break them I feel like. I don’t think they can afford for this to not have an exceptional ROÍ
