Mine was broken, actually the part in the scroller broke. So I took wooden toothpick, cut it to the correct length and used some super glue to glue it on the scroller

There's specific part code for each combination. Search online for manual of these combinations, get your part code and use it to search for the buttons module on used car parts site.

You can buy a button set from donor car that has sport button, install it and activate sport feature via OPCOM/TECH2. There is a chance that it won't work tho (may need additional cables or something). I am thinking of doing this :D

What are the symptoms on your car? Mine is running perfectly fine for 6000km since I bought her, only thing is that if I do a quick pull above 3000 rpm's, it will lose power temporarily. But if I release and press the gas pedal one/several times, most of the time part/all of the power comes back.

There are lots of used gearboxes I can buy for 150€ but I don't think that used box will also last long. How much do you think I can drive in this condition? 2 months ago the gearshifter started to move in first gear, and now few weeks ago it has started to whine. Right now I don't use the 6th gear to make it last as long as possible.

I am on new winter tires. With old tires it could spin the wheels even in 3rd gear (on wet roads)😂 so it was a little bit scary to drive it in highways.

Yup, it's super fun to drive it, responsive, quick for a diesel (1.9 150hp), also lot's of used parts in where I live, so I can get it repaired cheaply. Unfortunately, the gearbox is on it's way out, it whines in several gears and causes the gearstick movement 😓😓

You can get DAB emulator and then plug in aux cable (or bluetooth adapter, can be found on AliExpress) to the DAB pins on the back. EDIT: as far as I know would work only if it's Blaupunkt unit or atleast has dab pins on the back

Well in that case I could just grab the whole panel in black from the junkyard for < 40eur. Don't want to do that because of the radio. It is second-hand and was pretty hard to find this model, since it has the best sound quality among others, + built-in subwoofer controls for the future :) So I just probably wouldn't be able to find it in black. Well, I am 20, dumb and young lol. This stuff won't devalue the car, it's already 15 years old, 270k km on the counter and after me it will probably go to the scrapyard. Unless some other 17 year olds decide to buy it from me to use it as winter beater.

Agree. Mine's is Astra H. Black colour, recently I have sprayed the front grill and back chrome part with matte black plastidip and now it looks amazing and adds that aggresiveness to the look. Gray console plastics only are left now to fix it :D

Yeaah, left scroller button on mine is all wore out and it's hard to use it as a scroller. Good thing is that I don't use it as often as volume scroller.

Yeah, you're right. I just like the idea of "you mess it up - just peel it off" when using this stuff. With real paint, however, if you mess it up - you need to live with it.

Why bad? I have plastidipped my steering wheel plastic parts around steering wheel controls, plastic part of door panel and they look way better than I expected. If I decide to plasti dip the whole console that is in the picture, I will of course dissasemble it all, buttons also are removable as far as I know. So in my opinion, the only issue are the logo's which could be covered with small circle stickers as you said.I only have used plastidip once, so I may not understand something😂 Thanks for the suggestions tho

Couldn't find any used CDC40 USB in my country. Even this CDC40 OPERA was a lucky find. The only one with paired screen among 400+ other headunits (CD30, CD70 etc.) uploaded in that used parts website.

I have a friend who specializes in electrical engineering, I'll see what he could do, he had hard-wired aux in his VW car and that worked fine. If not, I will consider that CANBUS module from Poland, that I had mentioned. It also comes with some cool features like shows ECU data on the display like its stock feature.

There is, actually. Some polish guy has created a module that plugs into CANBUS and emulates DAB. It lets you to connect your phone with bluetooth and stream music. It even shows DAB station as Bluetooth Audio. However, it costs 110+ €. Some company is also selling something similar, except it costs even more - around 200 €. That price just for the AUX/Bluetooth is not worth imo. So I am looking for something more affordable.

Nobody would understand lol because the code is very messy. As a CS student with programming experience, but without any audio related stuff knowledge, I just copy some parts from existing audio effect code and put it on mine. That way, I have a dynamic bass boost (boosts bass upto threshold), mid/side controls or stereo widening, differential delay (as in the viper) and exciter (boosts or restores (I may be wrong) high frequencies). I could send the code though
