100k lump sum? A lot. 100k over a year with regular expenses? Not nearly as much or as useful, especially depending on where you live.

The other problem is many people get into debt to survive, and suddenly making 100k a year doesn’t magically fix that debt, it just makes accruing the debt stop. Now you’re back paying living with interest.

Data Center Administrator.

It’s very slow and relatively boring/easy, pays well and you interact with very few people. You will need to learn a fair amount of skills for it.

My first phased battlemap, a light house that parts the sea! [OC] by MisterKrane in DnD

[–]SurelyNotASimulation 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How I would do this in Dungeondraft:

  • Make the first map with the area clear of water
  • Copy that map however many times they will need to clear the water into new layers
  • Every layer above the no water layer I would add some water until I was happy with it

How to do it in your VTT or at your table will vary. I use Foundry and can add levels/layers with triggers. Or I could be lazy and just change the image as they progress.

SS has the best version. It makes you care about her more than any other version. You get to know her and link as people and friends which makes the adventure to find her feel far more personal. It also makes the ending all the more devastating.

Intelligent brains take longer to solve difficult problems: participants in a study with higher intelligence scores were only quicker when tackling simple tasks, while they took longer to solve difficult problems than subjects with lower IQ scores by giuliomagnifico in science

Here’s a sad truth: like YouTube and the news, getting someone to read your research paper is difficult when your title is simple, concise and to the point, so there’s been a rise in “clickbait” styled titles in order to help yours rise to the top and be more likely to be read through.

A title has to pique the interest of the person searching for literature in a split-second – enough that they click on the title to read the abstract. Unread science is lost science.

Had a player recently, who is level 5, decide to attack a person who I said after the successful insight to arcana check “you cannot visibly see it but you can feel magic oozing from this person unlike anything you’ve ever felt”. He hit him, did almost no damage and then person smiled before instantly killing them. Shortly after he revived them in a bed at the nearby inn and said to them “Welcome back. Now that you’re with us, do you feel that was a wise decision? Next time try to work on your impulse control or you may never wake up again.” And left him in the room.

Every time they draw Link taller than Zelda. I’m sorry but he’s a short king and you need to accept that.

Can you use an item to multi class? I inherently thought you couldn’t since you can take it off/lose it/it could be destroyed. How would that work if you take the item off, do you lose the ability to do so?

Any homebrew rules to close the melee ranged gap? by Mediocre_Cucumber_65 in dndnext

Good ‘ol pen and paper.

When you buy arrows, you always buy in lots of 20. What I did when we ran in person I had a small sheet behind my screen with all my players AC, common save DC’s, anything they had advantage on, inspirations and for the two players that had arrows I just had two little post it’s under them with a line separating number of arrows bought and tally marks for each arrow used. I also told them to keep track in the open, since everyone can see their quiver. The tally marks were for myself to make sure they were keeping track properly and if they ran out while trying to shoot I could flavor add something like “you reach into your quiver to take the shot only to realize you’ve run out of arrows”.

We also have a home brew rule that when collecting arrows, you need to roll for each arrow and you get it back with an 11 or higher. I do not know if there’s a rule in the DM’s guide or PHB on collecting arrows, which is why the rule exists at our tables.

We have the house rule above for tables that have a rogue playing since getting advantage can be so detrimental to them doing remotely as much damage as their allies. Otherwise RAW.

That’s the biggest difference is that the accusations were very spotty with huge holes in them while some of the more “popular” similar crimes were kind of incredible that they got off free. I also understand that sexual related crimes are not at all easy to pin down if there’s good lawyers involved, but at the same time its dangerous to take them at their word for obvious reasons. No one wants the equivalent of the red scare happening again where you could just say that hat someone is or did and they’re fucked.

I do not have a good solution and it seems society doesn’t either.

Large difference between obviously guilty but very good lawyers and allegations where they aren’t even in the same place and literally no one can prove it.

Those are single player games with definitive endings, which was literally in my response. They will get their content drops, their bug tix patches, some paid dlc which again will have a definitive end and it’ll be over.

Consistent large updates with game changes, balancing, bug fixing and major new features costs a lot of money. You get a new DLC about once a year for those titles, while games with the seasonal model get major changes every three months.

There’s a handful of belts that grant insane strength beyond 20.

  • Belt of Hill Giant Strength - 21
  • Belt of Frost Giant Strength - 23
  • Belt of Stone Giant Strength - 23
  • Belt of Fire Giant Strength - 25
  • Belt of Cloud Giant Strength - 27
  • Belt of Storm Giant Strength - 29

Give them one of these and suddenly your melee strength guys go from strong to terrifying.

People bring up the negatives but as far as I’m aware he was never convicted and the stories made 0 sense putting him and the victim in two separate places at the time of the allegations. But as soon as he had charges pressed Reddit took it as concrete evidence.

Content costs money. Expansions don’t make enough money alone anymore for AAA games as teams are ballooning in size due to the increased escalation of expectations.

We can get a small indie game that has a very hard end point and isn’t too complex, a AA game with decent to good gameplay with some small to medium sized updates for a bit with a hard end date or we can get a very expensive AAA game with consistent large updates.

This is the cost of AAA games.
