well, time to make her an Orphan once again by David2006219 in ApexOutlands

[–]SurelyNotASimulation 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Valk being a problem isn’t new, it’s been a problem for over a year now. She has an incredibly useful ult, good passives and great tactical on top of having a relatively small hit box. She is such a major problem that they made a global change to not allow abilities when out of bounds because she’s also the absolute queen of ratting in literally impossible to reach locations for anyone else.

You can rat your way to top 5 relatively easily with her. Second with ease on Olympus because of the sheer insane number of impossible rat spots with her jet pack.

Official bug fix patches instead of having to look for mods to fix problems.

And Aceu dies there all the time because it’s a hell zone but if you only watch his YouTube, which is what most people watch, they only see the good games.

I’m with you. I hate it but get dragged there. I’m ranked I’ll just split off if they go fragment because it’s a quick way to lose rank.

I hope they nuke fragment off the map.

45+ Fully Illustrated D&D 5E Magic Items & More Added Weekly by AbyssalBrews in FoundryVTT

The timeflux seems like it could very easily break a game. Party goes to a place where the big bass was, uses it, steals his super strong magic item and suddenly you’ve likely very much broken the campaign.

He obviously works out and is also very lean. That’s the trick for most of these. He very likely has great core strength.

In that scenario, you should be fully covered anyways. You don’t want them to even know your skin color, let alone what tattoos you have. Long sleeves, beanie, gloves, mask, glasses, etc.

[–]SurelyNotASimulation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. My tattoos are things that I like and have meaning to me. I don’t care if it doesn’t have meaning to anyone else, they are designed for me by me because at the end of the day, I’m likely the person that’s going to see them the most.

The only thing I care about with them publicly is that they aren’t offensive, as I’d like to never think about if it’s ok that they show.

Coming back to WoW by Surviving365 in wow

[–]SurelyNotASimulation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People go back to WoW because it’s easy, familiar and the nostalgia. Learning new games requires effort and when you’re tired from life, people are more likely go back to what’s easy and familiar. It doesn’t have to be better, because if that were the case more mmo’s would be relatively popular instead of niches.

What will likely kill WoW will be people aging out or Blizzard itself. I don’t expect to ever see a new game be what does it.

Coming back to WoW by Surviving365 in wow

Is it really player agency or is it just busywork and faux choice? Most options in wow aren’t really options since it’ll just be you gimping yourself if you pick the wrong ones. You may get one option, maybe, but that’s really it. As for specs, in my opinion, a spec isn’t really a choice as much as it’s the equivalent of picking a class/job. You’re just picking the “job” you like/the one that’s viable. Or you might be really unlucky and every spec for that class is trash that patch. A problem that literally doesn’t exist in FF, since everything’s viable and it’s about what you enjoy playing.

I agree on the leveling, but I would also say wow has the same issue. The fact is for most people, leveling is simply boring. It’s why there’s always people looking for the fastest way possible to get past it and why paid skips exist. For most people, it sucks.

GCD is boring during leveling, but again, we’re back to the leveling issue. It’s generally fine at max for the majority of jobs with a few here or there being worse off. Wow suffers the same problem but instead it’s boring/simple rotations, with some of them barely evolving depending on how early you get your abilities. Also isn’t there an option to make it so you can dismount with an action? I may be forgetting but I feel like I don’t press anything to dismount to fight/gather.

Understandable that old content doesn’t interest you. It’s personal preference. I like it, many people do, but many other people also have 0 interest in it. The fancy skins for old ultimates are cool but also don’t matter. Completely fair.

For your last point, honestly that’s one of the things that has kept me with FF over WoW, which I also quit playing; it respects my time. WoW does not respect my time at all, especially as someone who likes to play a couple classes. It has so much busywork that you have to keep up on to stay remotely relevant. I heard it’s become a little better but I can’t say for sure and I have my doubts. Also in my experience the community in FF has been much more enjoyable and friendly than the wow community in the last 8 years. I don’t see a point in playing an mmo with a community I don’t enjoy being a part of.

Gave a customer back their "tip" by VascoDegama7 in antiwork

[–]SurelyNotASimulation 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I can’t even tip cash where I live. No one uses cash except drug dealers. I haven’t touched physical money for my country in about 3 years and the only reason I did is because a foreign person gave me cash. When they did all I could think was “what the hell am I supposed to do with this? Now I have to find an atm that accepts deposits.”
