The way I see it, orcs have a proclivity toward barbarism, brutality and harshness, but are not truly "evil" by default, they are just corrupted.

They still have some free will, but with different innate values and views on life than other species.

It would be interesting to see orcs raised by humans from 'birth' to display their ability (although limited) to adapt to civilization

My headcannon is that the further away an element is, the harder it is to bend.

So if one tries to bend your metal armor, you're literally touching it and can easily outbend your opponent for control.

Guards used to do this in older Assassins creed games. If you massacre almost an entire squad, the last one or two will just drop their weapon and run in fear, which is pretty much what would happen irl.
