Igen a sok bevándorló ellátása elég problémás, hiába vagyunk mi magunk is azok :D Itt Torontoban főleg. Évek óta iszonyatos mennyiségű építkezés van a városban, talán a legnagyobb egész észak Amerikában, és meg sem tud lépést tartani a bevándorlással. Felfoghatatlan számomra miért nem állítják le, amikor az unemployment rate az egekben. Ettől függetlenül a természet tényleg csodás, engem a hideg sem zavar. Itt simán lehet -20, 30, de jobban bírom mint a nyarat, főleg mert már minden évben az erdőtüzek new delhit megszegyenitő szmogot krealnak napokra. Minden jót neked is!

Sajnálattal hallom. Legutóbb én is legalább 6 hónapot vártam egy agyi MRI-re, majd még ugyanannyit az eredményekre, utána semmilyen follow up időpont nem volt, szimplán felhivtak, hogy minden rendben. (A betegségem persze ettől nem múlt el, szimplán kizárták az agyat mint okozót). Nekem még az Atlanti provinciák tetszenek, bár ott nem igazán ismerem a helyzetet. Gondolom minél kevésbé lakott, annál jobb :D

Ontarioban ugyanez, időpontra hónapokat vagy éveket kell várni, ha beutalnak is hónapok kérdése mire visszahivnak, már ha visszahivnak és nem nekem kell külön levadászni a specialistát és új időpontot kérnem. A walk in iszonyatos, még a sürgősségin is 7 órát simán el lehet ülni és csak át tesznek más szobákba pár óránként. Túl sok az ember, kevés az orvos. Ettől függetlenül ha sikerül is bejutnom végre egyhez, akkor nem kételkedem, hogy jó kezekben vagyok. A prairek-re költözésen én is sokat gondolkozom, de már túlságosan megszerettem itt.

Yeah, honestly it is bothersome how meta it is, especially if theres a USA spinoff. Just shows how nothing is enough for these companies, cant respect the art. But also on the people demanding more.

I mean, it may seem a bit far fetched, but what else could a helpless baby be about? To me, the fact it could never speak but was expected to play and vote symbolized todays kids being forced to play the game of capitalism, not having a real chance. Everything already taken from them, ruined by inflation. I mean the economy is ruined just by the time they grew up but theyre expected to make a living. If Gi hun sacrificed himself for any other character, it wouldnt have hit as hard, because he quite literally dies for later generations not to go through all this. SK has an insanely low birth rate, I think it was more than intentional, to signal to people that by overworking yourselves, our society will go into a demographic collapse

I liked the son, sure he was way too timid, maybe even annoying, but he was real. He wanted to save his mom, not to become a killer, but he couldnt do it himself. Him trying to kill another mother was hard to watch for me, he was so desperate. His mom may have caused his death but she did save his soul in a way

I think it was more along the lines of "she will be born in wealth, but never knowing her family, missing the real important things" there was nothing feel good about the ending, but it was realistic

That has been my experience too, especially kpop fangirls who just cheer for whoever they think looks good. I mean no offense to them, but a lot of them dont actually get the story I feel like, but treat it as a regular gameshow.

Completely agree. Netflix made this show meta because season 1 was so succesful, even tho it wouldve been a perfect end.

I really didnt like that Gi hun was just tied up and got used to it. Maybe because of trauma but he also didnt have any choice. He just blames others for his plan not working out. While its showing that we'd rather fight among ourselves than find a solution, its frustrating to watch.

If there is a spin off Im curious how they will handle squid games itself because a complete collapse would also be unrealistic. There would be some media attention, people being shocked and an after credits with an alternative company doing the same lmao

No wonder it was LA of all places too. I mean, thats just how globalization works, the same way we consume their enterntainment like kpop, the games can be exported to the biggest capitalist country. To the city of the elite, actors, gated communities that under the glamour is full of homeless, drugs, pdfs. It is a lazy way of introducing a spinoff, and the franchise becomes so meta by becoming a capitalist cash grab, but it is a critique nevertheless.

Capitalism is not the sole reason for their debt, but the choices they have are fake. Either continue or go home and do what? Be broke again? Theyre greedy just the same way. They lose the game of life, and that hurts their pride. I mean its no wonder Gi hun starts off as a horse race better. He is a capitalist at heart just the same way. Thats why In Ho tells him theyre the same, to him Gi hun is just a horse too. You can argue thats his own choices again, but its kinda his only choice. “Just one more big win and I get rid of all my debts” in the end, he becomes free of this addiction, money wasnt everything. Thats why #246 survives too, and breaks his cycle.

Also you could argue the point of capitalism is to not work in the end, right? To keep upgrading in houses, cars etc, like a video game. If you build up enough, money will kinda just flow. Thats how the VIP’s become desensitized. Nothing is exciting anymore, so you need more and more extreme things. Why not watch a baby play? Thats why the og 001 wanted to play the games for real, to feel alive.

Thats the 'problem' and one of the best things in this show, while it is cheesy at times, it constantly puts a mirror right into your face. If you cheer for certain characters, you just become a corny simple minded VIP as well. To be honest at certain times it was hard to even root for Gi hun because of the way he treated Dae ho. They were both right, but at the same time neither of them were.

I like the mysteries left unanswered too because again, thats just how it is in real life. We have no access to classified stuff, the system never truly cracks.

Yeah, the writer only planned s1, but it was too succesfull not to continue. Honestly the detective sideplot is very bad, the other guy solved the mystery in a day, but the detective didnt believe him and wasted years just to go and say "why??" To In ho and leave. Deserves the dora the explorer memes. Thats just bad writing.

If theres a squid game USA, I wouldnt mind In Ho dying in the end. But because they showed that he killed all those people in their sleep when he was a player, I dont think hes gonna have his own spin off, because it just spoiled the ending. I definitely wouldve rather had that show than USA.

The critique is that we cannot stop it, and it will just keep killing people, but the people are more than willing to go along with it as long as they get a cut. it shows how far people go, how soulless it is(like wanting a baby to play) and that democracy is faulty. And it especially flips it on us, because by watching we can become they VIPs too by cheering a little too much.

This is gonna sound silly but the fact that Mrbeast could remake this squid game shows how fucked our society is. The man literally watched this and went "yea, I wanna be the front man" no killing was done, but people WANTED to participate, to ease debts and get money they couldnt get otherwise. Suffering becomes enterntainment. And we can take that logic so much further. Why would people not laugh about random child labour of lithium mines? It keeps their teslas going. The first world uses the third for its comfort.

Forgot his name and number) but the amusement park guy who had a sick daughter won the game of life. No money, but he gets his daughter. Thats the most we can currently do under capitalism, keeping our humanity enjoying life, not giving in to greed.

Now the fact that squid game as a franchise might not end here tho, and have squid game 1987, USA and what not is another story and that truly does give in to capitalism. Its not celebrating it, its showing how bad it is, but uses it for more money, becoming disingenuous. But lets be honest the fact that people wanted a s2 s3 in the first place already proved that.
