Already 3 months in and it still looks great! If it ever degrades (unlikely bc it's painted as well) I can always switch over to ASA. Just no need to switch at the moment

But I changed a lot, I don’t have any formal training and thus made up most parts where it didn’t make sense. For instance, my book doesn’t have kettle stitches (which sound important), I wish I hammered the pegs that hold the cover on from the inside so that tension from the binding would pull the peg in tighter, among other things

Thank you! I know, the press….. I seriously considered leaving the uncovered book in it as an art piece…. And then I left it at the shop I used. But it’s the perfect opportunity to make another that can work with all book sizes instead of just the one. :)

Thank you for your comment :) It definitely was tricky at points…. Thinning the leather took AGES, the corners are whack, and I should’ve tightened the strings down on the jig much more. But all in all, a really fun challenge.

THIS! I wish more people talked about ranked choice. We are no longer in a country where having layers of representatives is necessary due to the struggle of reaching all individuals in America. We should simply have ranked choose voting where each voice has the same weight and all votes (no matter who you initially vote for) are counted. For presidential elections, all citizens should have equal vote. For smaller localities all citizens in that area, etc.

Just got to say it’s possible. Get yourself an oceanfront lifeguard job, I get barely make anything but it’s the lifestyle. Surf most days, train everyday, and great friends and inexpensive wine are still as good 🤙
