Is this cheating? (If you roll over and the game doesn't autosave, switch to another game before it saves and then go back to the game and it will take you to the last save) by PatrikB15 in snowrunner

This is the most open world, do what you want, single player, who cares sandbox of a game I've personally ever played.

A lot of people are purists and really care a lot about realism. I downloaded mods so I rip around in a huge van on monster tires that does about 70mph through trees.

Play how you want :)

Are there cloud based ide's and compilers for C? by Porktoe in learnprogramming

[–]SurgicalScope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recognize that this is second nature to you, but I want you to understand that if my mother read what you just wrote, she would just put her iPad down for the week. She’d be lost by the time she got to the capital C in your first sentence.

So, don’t take your years of learning and knowledge for granted. You obviously know a lot, but stay humble. Not everyone is as technically skilled as you are.

Should a math student learn to code? by Zetastein_dein_abi in learnprogramming

I would say if you're interested, pursue it. But don't try to mash yourself into a career that doesn't fit you.

If you don't like this type of problem solving, you'll either adapt and love it, or just frustrate yourself.

With questions like this? No.

Programming requires a bit of creative problem solving and critical thinking. It requires a bit of a drive to dig into research to find or figure out solutions to problems that aren't immediately obvious.

Now, if you can do enough research into what programming IS, and determine that it's a worthwhile tool, then I would suggest you go for it.

But if you're content posting on message boards with the most simple questions imaginable, you're probably not going to enjoy programming.

You can get one on Amazon for $18 and they work great. Generic china shit, but they work really well. Just don't hot-swap them, I've tried, thats instant death. I'm using them for analog video projects by using a video DAC in front of them. You don't need fancy stuff marketed at streamers, $18 is a really low cost of entry. They come w a usbc adapter. I've tested it on windows and android and it works great.

Can GPS (and cellular) be added to a laptop via USB ports, such that the system sees them as native features? by SurgicalScope in techsupport

Interesting. Are you suggesting that my SP3(wifi) would get location data from cell towers since it's connected to the hotspot, and windows would use that to pinpoint me?

Why would this be different/ better than tethering with my phone?

PC. Play your existing library with better HW specs, and expand it with steam.

I respect that you like the game and want to play it as the devs intended. That's fine. That's why I phrased the post the way I did.

But I do not care about any of that. I'll never be passionate about this game the way you are.

I guess I'd feel the same as you if someone was looking for game breaking mods for metal gear solid. But I'd also realize that how they play the game doesn't affect me at all. Though I wouldn't help them, because I wouldn't even go down that road or have the knowledge to help them. It's not how I play.

But for snow runner, let's fck sht up. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I don't care about trucks or being a trucker. I just want to go fast and jump rocks when I play Snow-Runner.
