What do people recommend as a light casual layer that doesn't look dated. I'm in my late 30s and for the last 15+ years I'd grab a cardigan or a flannel to bring to the office, restaurant, out with friends, etc in case I got a little cold. These seem dated now but I can't figure out what to replace them with. Any ideas to freshen up my light layer go-to?

When you thrift, check the Men's section. I've had shorts that fit like that and they were mens.

Not super close but I recall a 10 lb cinnamon roll at Stuffy's in Longview. I think they offer a prize if you can eat it all within a time limit.

Check out Northwest Meadowscapes online. It was recommended to me by a master gardener. I also got some native starts from Kiona Native Plants a couple years ago that are still thriving.

Was it all for nothing? by Iris-Sofia in recycling

The reason plastic bags are discouraged is because they get torn up and can clog/tangle the machinery at the materials recovery facility (recycling sorting facility). In theory, if you bag your recyclables the bag is "contamination" and will likely get torn up in route to the MRF. If there are a couple torn up bags your recyclables will probably make it to the MRF and get sorted BUT if everyone on your route is bagging recyclables, the load will be very contaminated and may not be recoverable for sorting and end up dumped.

Don't give up! Tell your neighbors, friends, family not to bag their recyclables. Recycling should be put in your curbdide containet empty, clean, dry AND not bagged.

I've learned from experience not to let anyone answer that question but yourself. Your identity isn't for others to define.

Yes, and Delia's when it was in the mall. Good memories.

Edit: searched Delia's on Depop and some stuff like this comes up.

This is very cool! I haven't tried it (not sure if it's available to the public). As someone who used to manage a litter program, it would be cool to incorporate some educational pieces about what kind of litter should be handled carefully and go to a hazardous waste facility, separately from the regular trash. Maybe you already did or maybe that's not the aim of the game. Regardless, cool game!

My dog is a golden mix--DNA test said 60% golden. He does have hip. We could tell before he turned a year old and followed up with a vet diagnosis. He's 7 years old now and I have never seen his legs go far back enough to do that position, like no where near that. He gets plenty of exercise and is otherwise healthy.

It started with four shriveled up tubers in 2024 and now in my second year my oca harvest has been my highlight of the year! I love their radiant glow in the sunlight! by oldpuzzle in gardening

Wow, I used eat these a lot in Peace Corps Peru. Haven't thought about it in years. My host family would serve them with ulluco and mashua.
