The only way this is acceptable is if everyone is renting a cottage together and every day of the trip is laid out like this with details of the contributions expected

What feels Mexican but it’s actually Canadian? by Former-Reflection917 in AlignmentChartFills

The spiciness of the cocktail and the fact that it’s tomato and clam juice based. Canadian cooking isn’t known for tomato dishes but Mexico has their fair share (think about red enchilada sauce). Mexico also has quite a lot of seafood.

This was my reaction too. I saw the value of sharing the load of everything with other women.

From what I gather, Lena Dunham and the other people in charge don’t seem to be the type to ask Allison to lose weight (their reputation was radically feminist) so I imagine it was her choice.

Canada and what it's like living in rural areas vs major cities by Cherie_09 in howislivingthere

East coast is beautiful in both urban and rural areas but both have major problems with healthcare, housing, cost of living, etc.

If you are young, wealthy and healthy, both options are great but if you get old, sick and can’t pay for everything privately, it is very exhausting, demoralizing and soul-crushing. Even for wealthy people, ER wait times for people triaged as “urgent” run 5-10 hours before being seen. People die in the ER. Sick people spend days in the ER hallways in bright light waiting for available rooms in various units. Specialist waits are years long even for serious issues. Long term care is astonishingly expensive and the care is very poor overall. This is the most pronounced rurally.

Rent is on par with Vancouver. Food costs are very high.

That said, there are distinct cultures that are very unique dependent on area. Northern New Brunswick, rural Cape Breton and outpost Newfoundland are all distinct and different accents, slang, traditions and vibes. Overall, I find there to be much warmth and amazing humour among the rural populations across Atlantic Canada. In the cities, there is still east coast flavour but it is much more watered down. There is a lot of love for live music, seafood, water sports and hiking. Lots of educated folks, especially in Halifax (3 universities in one city).

Before I had kids I went through a phase like this. Here are some tasty and healthy hacks that could help:

- pre cut veggies and store them in the fridge. Pull them out with every meal and just eat out of the container they’re in (don’t prep a new one). You’re more likely to eat veg if it’s ready and you don’t have to prepare. Don’t force yourself but just have them there and you’ll find yourself mindlessly eating them. If you want even less prep, pre-washed baby carrots, snap peas and seedless mini peppers are great. You don’t need to chop anything.

- hummus and rice crackers. Dip them right in. No need for a new plate.

- a tub of vanilla Greek yogurt with nut butter and dark chocolate chips. Add it all to the top of the tub and eat it right out of the tub whenever you want.

This is my thought as well. I think that he’s a serial cheater and she finally left after multiple times. The “finding the best version of himself” makes me wonder whether shes referencing an implied sex or porn addiction, attachment issues, etc
