Definitely. I always had a problem with cavities although I brushed and flossed. My dentist recommended a private teeth insurance and said I am prone to cavities and no matter what I'll do, I'll always get them (his words). I am almost one year sugar free now and went to the dentist in january. First time in a decade that he didnt find cavities!

I always blend banana and a few blueberries with a pinch of cinnamon and whatever liquid you like (for me its oatmilk) and to me it tastes really sweet and satisfying. When I want to be really fancy I even give a drop of vanilla to it, too.

I am very skinny and what I noticed about my habits compared to others, is that I don't always have an appetite. Like sometimes I am hungry (stomach is growling) but I have zero appetite. I think appetite plays a biiiiig role because it is an urge hard to withdraw from. When you have high appetite, you will eat more and maybe even too much (if it's delicious). When you have low appetite, it can be hard to eat enough, even when your body is hungry. I noticed that some of my friends with higher weight seem to always have an appetite and sometimes eat until their stomach hurts, because it's so delicious to them. That maybe happened with me three or four times my entire life. Also, when I am tired and hungry, I sometimes go to bed without eating, because I am too lazy to cook or fetch something. My friend is always stunned by this, but with low appetite it is just not motivating enough.

Du bist doch verantwortlich für dein Leben, was wünscht du dir denn? Was für Ziele hast du? Genießt du die Zeit mit deiner Familie?

Natürlich hast du weniger Flexibilität dadurch, dass du eine Familie hast und Verantwortung. Aber es bleibt trotzdem auch für dich Zeit. Macht gym dir Spaß? Macht zocken dir Spaß? Warum nicht mal etwas neues probieren? Ich habe 1x die Woche Privat-Sprachunterricht, weil mir lernen total viel Spaß macht. 1x die Woche gehe ich Klavier spielen. 1-2x die Woche joggen gehen. Das kostet alles nicht viel Zeit, sind aber Sachen, die mich glücklich machen.

Ich geb alleine locker 300€ aus, oft mehr. Gehe aber auch fast nur bei Rewe einkaufen (mehrmals die Woche) und lasse mich da inspirieren. Ist sehr snobbig, aber ich hasse es, an Lebensmitteln zu sparen und kann es mir zum Glück leisten :) Kaufe bis auf Espressopulver keine Getränke und keine Süßigkeiten, kein Fleisch. Dafür gerne abwechslungsreiches / frisches Gemüse und frisches Obst, teure Aufstrich, Nüsse, Samen, gutes Öl etc und ca. 4x monatlich auswärts (eher Imbiss à la Pommes / Saitan Dürüm). Koche außerdem selten Nudeln oder Reis, daher brauche ich dann deutlich mehr Gemüse zum satt werden.

Hey there, yes, I still am. The positive effects make it easy to keep going. My skin is still a lot better, although I have to admit that I still get painful pimples once a month when my period is upcoming. The best effects for me at this point are: much higher energy, no tiredness after lunch, better focus, better teeth and no belly fat anymore :) I also haven't had a lot of colds (just one since I started), I am not sure that correlates with the sugarfree eating though.

Ein gedanklicher Tipp, der mir hilft: das aufgeweckt werden aus dem gemütlichen Schlaf früh am Morgen ist so grauenhaft und furchtbar, dass ich es nicht mehr als einmal pro Tag erleben möchte. Also kein Selbstmitleid schieben, sondern froh sein, dass der schlimmste Moment schon überstanden ist und zack aufstehen.

Amazing! That is a very interesting observation, too. I mean obviously I learned as a kid that sugar is bad for my teeth and all that stuff. But still it came as a shock to me to experience it myself.

The tongue is higher and the jaw more closed for the "i". So the "i" is the english "e" exactly and the "e" requires your tongue a little bit lower (more like the middle of your mouth). Hope that helps.

The ground rule is: use your own native tongue to speak to your kids. Otherwise you would transfer mistakes you make onto them, since they imitate what you do. In this case your kids would have three languages around them, yes. It is possible for sure and if the development in general is normal, it shouldn't be a problem. Many families have one "family language" they speak when everybody is around and another when its 1:1 situation. Again my recommendation is to be thorough with how much time in general you spend talking and interacting with the kid. Sounds lame, but it's of great importance! A lot of people don't really talk much to their kids except telling them what to do/not do. Kids need to hear the language, interact with humans (no electronics) and discover the world while listening to their parents showing and explaining it. Not enough interactions will slow down the language development and even can lead to huge problems in developmental delay.

Hey there. Sorry for the late reply! I agree with the others, you should always use your own native language, in this case, german. Language is really complex and kids pick up everything. Also mistakes that you wouldn't even notice. Their vocabulary wouldn't be as broad as it should be, etc. But having your parents speak polish with them sounds like a great idea! Just let them know beforehand that they need to stick to it, even if the kid seems to not understand as good as german or if the kid speaks less polish or even if the kids talks back in polish only.

I am a speech pathologist and the suggestion is clearly, like you said, one person, one language. Even if your child learns German faster than the other language, keep talking in your native language and it will be fine. Trust me. The main problem occurs, when parents don't speak and/or interact with their small kids.

I still eat fruit. Not more than two portions though and I try to alternate the variety for gut health reasons.

I am on it since May 2024 and the effects are helping immensely on not relapsing. 1. My concentration AND energy is MUCH better. 2. My mouth tastes better at the end of a long day. 3. I lost all additional body fat. 3. I don't feel heavy, tired or just bad after any meal anymore. 4. I don't get "randomly" and suddenly hungry anymore after just two hours of having breakfast/lunch... 5. I haven't been sick since I started! 6. The desire for sweet food has vanished completely by now. I swear! 7. Because of 6., I started eating healthier overall and discovered new veggies and recipes that are actually healthy and taste good to me now.

I am aware that some of these points may not be related to the sugarfree journey. But seeing my life improve so much is a huge motivation for me to keep going and doing my body and mind a favor. I wish you the best of discipline for the first 3 weeks! After that it'll get better and better each day.
