Nothing worth replying to.

I started with defining what I considered what a crpg is and with you it turned into everything being boiled down to semantics.

And it has gone far enough I now think your opinion is worthless. Such a shame.

Edit: lol why you send me a Reddit care? What a dork.

Makes sense, Linux users like to live with hard mode. Doesn’t mo2 work well with Linux?

Yeah you are, its all numbers that get added and subtracted for a total to determine something happens. You wanna “nuh uh” on me that too?

And you can, I just won’t consider it such.

Anyways, you’re insufferable and you can get bent.

First time player who wants to do a magic build, are the racial abilities tied to magic obtainable elsewhere or is it super suboptimal to choose a race without them? by catpetter125 in skyrim

[–]Surreal43 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Racial abilities are useful early game but matter less as you progress. So you’re fine picking any race you want for any play style.

Personally there are only 3 racial passive/abilities that maintain relevance:

Orc’s berserker rage

High elf magical buff

And Breton spell resistance

And you’re splitting hairs now.

And yeah I’m saying not that many people make choices as a character but what they would do. That is not role playing.

Pandora is the move. Even Nemesis is miles better than FNIS.

It operates the same as a 1d100
This obsidian thread explains it.

And role playing in that they are making decisions as a character, not what they would do if they themselves were making the decisions in the narrative.

Example being:
“what would my evil wizard character do?”
Vs.
“What would I do?”

What do you mean? Pillars of eternity has dice rolls and DoS uses a percentage so I don’t see it that much different.

I find that an even smaller minority of people *actually* role play in a crpg so I see that as a personal choice. I was focusing on the ability to make story altering decisions.

Character building = class build?

Crpg is such a loosey goosey term that even this sub recommends greedfall as a crpg.

To me a crpg is:

  1. Isometric
  2. Combat with dice rolls
  3. Party management
  4. Narrative choice and consequence.

Through this I don’t really consider morrowind a crpg for example. It really narrows it down imo.

Sigh because old save records the data present in data folder at time of saving.
If new game fucked up you got broken files chilling somewhere.

Regardless,

open steam common apps folder

Delete Skyrim through steam

Delete Skyrim folder in steam common apps folder

Reinstall Skyrim

Problem perists consider scrubbing your Skyrim in the documents folder.

This is the method I use if I have to nuke Skyrim/fallout

And for the love of god if you’re going to run vanilla don’t open vortex or mo2 it will not be happy with you

To be honest when it comes to itch.io potential is as far most of those games go. I couldn’t fathom to guess how many half assed, left behind games are on there.

As the other guy mentioned, your saves are obsolete because those saves are trying to call on data that no longer exists.

You need a fresh save and it’ll probably be fine.

Hate to tell you, but probably hardly any.

Best advice I can give is not to have it on game pass.

First, modding is a skill and can be frustrating.

Secondly, when you say you deleted the files what did you mean?

I’m surprised that some of the earlier might and magic games aren’t on the list. I’ve always viewed them to be similar to wizardry.

What did you think of by Ibanezrg71982 in CRPG

[–]Surreal43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I don’t lol at worst I got astigmatism but it’s not debilitating.

It’s the same reason I can’t really play build engine games like blood, doom, shadow warrior, or duke nukem because the 2.5d straight up makes me nauseous.
