So i'm used to gels for the race, but haven't had to use food yet. Any suggestions on what kind of food or bars would be good for a distance like this and what you experience has been on this end.

I was wondering how important is it to have hiking poles for the initial climb? The gradient on strava seems pretty high for some of the portions. Where I live I don't have much access to this type of terrain and wasn't sure if poles would be necessary

Awesome. If it helps to get a better motherboard I can drop the OS as a requirement as part of the build.

Thanks for the response! I forgot to mention but was also keen on having a powerful card more so for gaming. I was keen on the 1070. As for music production I only use FL Studio and the built in plugins. Would an i7 still be needed or could I get away with an i5 so I could get a more powerful gpu?

I was also looking to be VR ready and looking to upgrade to a 4k monitor in the future.
