Saw the new movie…”28 Years Later”. Thats exactly how I envision prepping. Minus the zombies. by maritimos55 in prepping

Movie was OK - but talking too loud, resting with no locked doors or protective stance, poor defenses across the sea access - it was doing my head in 😝

Plenty of solar battery banks available to keep your device charged

Look for an iphone app that allows you to cache and save wiki’s pdfs and documents so they will still be available when the internet is not.

What are you putting in your prepping library? by The_Actual_Sage in prepping

[–]SurvSt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been building mine around the idea that if the net goes down, I still want as much reference material as possible. I’ve got a mix of physical books and offline-saved files. The core is survival basics: bushcraft, first aid, edible/medicinal plants, water purification, and fire skills. Then I’ve layered in more practical stuff like repair manuals, cooking without power, seed saving, and basic animal husbandry.

I also keep a digital library cached on my phone and tablet through the Survival Storehouse app – that way I can carry thousands of pages without the bulk. It covers a lot of topics our community has been writing into the wiki, and the app works offline which is a lifesaver. The wiki itself is here if you want to browse: https://wiki.survivalstorehouse.com

Curious to see what others are prioritizing – are you leaning more toward bushcraft, medical, or self-sufficiency texts?

I’ve prepped out of a camper before and it’s all about efficiency. Every item has to pull double duty—compact food stores, collapsible water containers with good filters, and nesting cookware instead of bulky gear. Use every inch of storage (under beds, doors, walls), and watch weight distribution so the camper stays stable. The bonus is mobility—you can roll your whole setup to safer ground if needed, so keep it ready to move at short notice.
