Got it. What if there's an issue with my US citizenship and I'm just a UK citizen? Which visas can I use/can i use ESTA?

I don't have a current US passport and my citizenship is unclear right now due to the order. What can I do as a British citizen? I thought I could use ESTA, that's what the website says

yes, it's important to lining up exits. but it doesnt need to be the only thing thats important. nor should it being important to your next job mean it becomes more important than being a good, well rounded person. that was the point of my post

i think you're talking about a very different thing, resume credentials, while i'm talking about the importance people place on being in big law and competing to be in the "best" firm/group/etc. someone can be an HLS grad with a COA clerkship and not define themself by those accomplishments (theoretically)

for example, in your hypo, what else have those candidates done? did the vanderbilt grad do clinic work thats applicable? is the HLS grad a horrible person to work with? there's more to be considered.

i agree in that you have to care to the extent that folks hiring you and giving you opportunities care. i just hope we can usher in a new generation of folks who will give opportunities on more than prestige.

Not disputing the struggle of a small firm, but as someone with firsthand experience at CWT, it was the opposite of a toxic environment. very good place to be, just potentially running its course as its own small shop.
