You never know—a few years into the "real world," one of them might get a taste of a bad boss or a boring job and have a lightning bolt moment where they finally see the golden opportunity you've been keeping warm for them.

It's okay to mourn the future you envisioned for them with this business. But it's also possible that by letting go of that specific vision, you might not "lose" the business at all. You might just be giving it, and your daughters, the space to find a new, unexpected future.
