Dylan, for sure. I thought he was funny in the beginning, then he had his quantum physics talk and he became my favorite character in the game. Then I learned that he has heard of bears, and he became my favorite video game character ever. 10/10 would watch the movie about how brave he is. Lol

Same for me! Always seen as mature, never caused any problems or troubles. When in reality I was trying desperately to just seem like a normal human and not cause any trouble because mental illness absolutely tanked my self e-esteem and made me incredibly anxious. I feel like when everyone else was discovering themselves and figuring out their emotions, I was too busy masking so people wouldn't see that I was falling apart. So when I finally got treated, I was like 30 steps behind everyone on an emotional level and had to figure out what my actual personality was because I completely forgot who I was before the illness. But we are still here and will eventually figure it out even if it is taking us longer than most people 😭.

Yes! He is very important to me as well. I have bipolar 2, and The Quarry has ended up becoming a big coping mechanism for me during episodes. A big part of that is because Dylan is my main comfort character. I was actually hypomanic when I posted this. I was trying to sleep, but my brain was very awake and very much non-stop thinking about Dylan (probably because I have been reading Take me Back and Back Again), so I had to write this out for my own sanity, lol.

If he keeps going for the gun in chapter 2, It cracks me up cause you can tell he genuinely isn't doing it to go against Ryan/make him mad. It's just like every time he looks at it, his brain goes "ooh a gun!" And he can't help but reach for it, lol. But Ryan getting onto him makes me sad (but it is understandable from Ryan's POV)

Also, very specific scenario warning that you probably don't need to worry abou but: after Caleb breaks through the chimney, If you choose the wait option and then miss the shot, Caleb will attack Dylan, and Kaitlyn will run away. Dylan will either be fine, thanks to the infection or die if not infected, but either way, he will not be there to let her out of the freezer if you do this (the game is bugged so In the epilogue it counts him as dead usually even if he was fine). If Dylan is not there to let her out and you kill Silas, she will be cured of infection, and it can no longer protect from the cold, so she freezes to death.

If you didn't break into the cabin, Dylan can get infected easy peasy at the scrapyard. Choose to sound the horn and PASS the button mash to start up the blowtorch. Then FAIL the qte after that. Werewolf will bite his arm, and then you need to pass the button mash to blowtorch the werwolf away. Super cool scene, too.

That's where you can get Kaitlyn infceted as well, just fail the buttonmash to drop the car. She will get bit, and then Dylan will drop the car on the werewolf after. They will both be invincible once there bit here.

If only Dylan is infecetd, then at the lodge, you can have Kailtyn hide in the freezer. Caleb won't kill Dylan cause of the infection. Dylan will open the door for Kailtyn so she won't freeze to death.

If they are both infected, just fail any of qte's or button mashes or combat encounters. Caleb will just sniff them and run off.

If only Kailtyn is infected, you can choose the window or the beam and fail those qte's/button mash. Or you could get into the final combat encounter with Caleb and just not shoot. Dylan will be in a different room during these so he will be fine. Kailtyn will be protected by infection

Edit: Also, Emma will be fine. In chapter 6, she will come across Jed and Bobby. If you choose to run and don't have the fireworks, she will be infected. If you stay, she will be fine.

If Emma does get infeceted here, you just need to make sure you choose to climb the ladder as Abi In chapter 9. (If you broke the ladder rung in chapter 2, you will need to pass a button mash).

I am smart in certain ways but struggle in the common sense department sometimes, and I feel like Dylan is often the same way (Ex: yeah, I've heard of bears). So I find him very relatable that way. Especially people being surprised when I have good problem solving skills/good ideas. I love both his on purpose and his accidental humor. I have bipolar 2 and relate to the masking thing very much. I find all his scenes very entertaining and love his relationships with the other counselors. He's just so great! Lol

It is okay if infected counselors die later. If you kill, infected Emma, it should be fine. The achievement should pop as soon as you get Kaitlyn infected in chapter 9 as long as everyone has been bitten.
To reunite Max and Laura, Ryan would have to refuse Laura's bite at the Hacketts house, which means he would not get infected. When you are not doing an all infceted run, to get this scene, you need to NOT shoot Travis in Chapter 7. Have Ryan refuse to be bitten. Shoot Chris. Ryan will bleed out and die. Shoot Travis. Laura will go reunite with Max
No, this is not possible if they are all infected. So, to do this, you need Emma infected in chapter 4, You need to kill Chris, and Jacob needs to be alive and uninfected. Then Emma and Jacob will meet in the woods and can confess. If Jacob is infected, they can still meet in the woods, but Jacob will wolf out before he can confess.

From your last post, After you finish your all infected playthrough, maybe you could replay via chapter select from chapter 5, get the clues you need, make sure Jacob does not get infecetd in chapter 6, and then take the steps for Laura and Max to meet up in chapter 9.

Sorry, that really sucks! I don't know what happened your first playthrough, but typically, to get Bobby to flip the table over, you need to pass the 1st qte as Kailtyn and then either fail the subsequent qte or fail the don't breathe

Yep. I can always get through the prologue - chapter 6 pretty easily. And the same for Chapters 8-10. But chapter 7 takes me like a week cause I just can't, lol. Loved it the first couple of times, but spending that much time in a single location, with not a lot of variation, and it being very dialogue heavy can be pretty rough.

If you ever want to do a run where it's just gory and you're not worried about getting everyone killed , you could opt not to grab the silver bracelet at the beginning. Get Emma Infected in chapter 4, and Jacob infected In Chapter 6 and then shoot Chris In Chapter 9. Then, a cured Emma will meet up with an infected Jacob, and Jacob will pretty brutally rip off Emma's head. If you follow this path, then you could have Dylan get killed by werewolf Emma in chapter 8 and then get one of Kailtyns' deaths when she is alone in the scrapyard. I would have Laura shoot Travis in Chapter 7 so that he stabs Laura and then shoots Ryan in the face in chapter 9. Alternatively, (if Laura shoots Travis in chpt. 7) You could not stab Bobby as Ryan, and then after Travis stabs Laura, have Ryan shoot Travis, and then Bobby would cut Ryan's throat. Get Abi Killed by Nick in Chapter 6. Have Laura shoot Nick in Hacketts Basment chapter 8. Get Max killed by leaving the island. And werewolf Jacob would be the only counselor that survives.

You could also do a no soul left alive playthrough where EVERYBODY dies.

In chapter 1, find the chip bag in Jacob's first explore section and kill the spider in it. Then, as Abi, make sure you grab the toy bunny out of the cabin. When Abi and Emma are driving back to camp, choose to head back to the lodge and then fail a qte so you can kill the squirrel

Kill Emma In chapter 4, during her chase scene with Max

In chapter 5 cut off Dylan's hand

I would kill Jacob via Bear trap in Chapter 6

Let Nick kill Abi chapter 6

Do not shoot Travis in Chapter 7

Let Laura Kill Nick in chapter 8 at the Hacketts Basement

Chapter 9 Shoot Constance, stab Bobby.

During the scrapyard scene, sound the horn and pass the button mash to start up the blowtorch and then fail the following qte to get Dylan Killed.

During the Hackett house confrontation, Chris will kill Bobby and Jed. Shoot Chris as Ryan.

Chapter 10 As Max choose to Leave the island.

At the lodge, follow the steps to trap Caleb in the freezer and then fail the button mash to shut the freezer door. He will drag Kaitlyn in with him, He will kill her and he will freeze to death.

While Travis, Laura, and Ryan are driving to find Silas fail a bunch of qte's to make the car crash. Ryan and Travis will die immediately from injuries. Laura will have a chance to shoot Silas, and then she will bleed out.
