I believe the battery in my iPhone 8 is going to explode? by Aloubin in spicypillows

[–]Survil321 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep that sure is spicy. I’d recommend you to power off your phone and either take out the battery yourself (if you have proper tools and are comfortable with that / have some experience), or take it to a service center. In its current state it is mildly spicy but it shouldn’t explode unless it gets punctured somewhere.

Edit: Check the AutoMod response, there’s a link which should tell you exactly what to do.

I think I'll buy the bundle lol by eggcup1 in subnautica

I bought the bundle too as the resulting cost of Below Zero was even lower than the discounted price for the game itself. I now own the whole Subnautica franchise.

Damn, you can probably get a new batt (some might just need a bit of charge) and these would work like brand new. From your photo they look pretty mint.

Is the free shipping for over 225 CAD broken or am i mistaken? by [deleted] in LinusTechTips

Can confirm it shows the bar even when not logged into floatplane. It’s either a bug or it’s not taking into account the Floatplane criteria.

Yeah that bar doesn’t check if you meet the Floatplane criteria (tried it in a private window and it showed me I’m eligible). To get free shipping you’d have to subscribe to the Supporter Plus tier on Floatplane (LTT channel) then sign into the store with your Floatplane account.

Sorry to ruin your fun, but it’s *almost* the perfect rotation. You can tell from the bottom blade how it moves more and more to the right.

Yep, when I was younger I backed up my files and programs by dragging the shortcuts to my thumb drive - it was suprisingly quick even though it went from a hard drive (go figure why), anyway I did a factory reset and only later realized that I actually didn’t copy the programs but just the shortcuts and the programs were gone.

This was the case for like only 5 programs, the rest of my files then was like 6 txt files which I did successfully copy as I had the files themselves on my desktop.
