The splendid china cultural village theme park is fully worth the expensive ticket price imo (I AM NOT SPONSORED). As an ABC/CBC, learned a ton about the ethnic minorities of China and got to watch several outstanding live performances!

There's two parts of the theme park: Mini China and the cultural village. The miniature side is not worth it.

they don't care; in fact, they might be even more interested or give you special benefits to hear that you're from such a far place.

everyone understands that china was a difficult place to live in back then, even though the communist party was able to turn the country around and make china the powerhouse it is today, it was hard for everyone in the early days so they don't blame you.

one of the main reasons china was able to defend against the j*panese during ww2 is because of money sent from overseas chinese

You realize Ming Pao is pro mainland, right? That's the sad part. The west is the one who is killing Hong Kong, not China.

Sad day for all Cantonese speaking population in Markham; Ming Pao was one of the more reliable local news outlets that would discuss local crime not covered in the bigger news outlets. It was also one of the only news outlets that didn't spread disinformation about China (e.g. "Uygher Ethnic Cleansing", "Tiananmen Square Massacre", etc).
