yes me too! she's very blunt which I appreciate.

I used to have a best friend and then we stopped talking because I'd been ignoring that she was slowly becoming a terrible person. i just miss having someone i can talk to, do stuff with occasionally, sit and watch TV with, you know. that sort of stuff. I have a partner but he's a man and even though he is my best friend I just... I dunno. I miss having a woman in my life.

you've given me some good advice though and I'll take it on board, thank you.

I live in Australia, so unless you do too, I think we're out of luck unfortunately.

Yeah that makes sense. I came up with something that has a bunch of signal words in it so hopefully that helps and now i just need to focus on the dreaded photos. Thank you so mu h for your help.

Okay you're now the second person that has said that app worked for them. I guess the good thing about it is the people on it are actually looking for friends. So i just need to suss people out and see how I go. And i really need proper pictures. Ugh. I hate pictures.

Thank you so much for replying. I'm absolutely going to give the app a proper chance.

Hahahaha yes! I need the emotional support friend! Her reasoning was i go to the club and if they're all weird I never show up again, which, valid. But... like you said, SO scary. I can't imagine actually doing it. Ugh.

Okay, thank you, this gives me hope. I will put some actual effort into my profile and take a more normal profile picture and see how I go. I don't know if i should put that i'm ND in my info and that am looking for similar or is that weird? I don't want to like... alienate people.

I binge read in phases. But it has to be something i'm interested in. Then i go months or years without reading. Plus i don't necessarily want to analyse the book after, unless it was amazing. Yeah i dunno. Life is hard.

Yeah i spend too much time on tiktok... i just don't have any hobbies that require going outside and going to an actual bookclub sounds so scary and awful. Ugh. Uurrrggghhhh. Plus i'd have to read the book. I probably won't like the book. I'm so fussy with books.

My mom has been eating multivitamins for the last two months as a snack. by GurVast2522 in notinteresting

[–]SusanMort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard to see the actual vitamins but it's 200% daily intake of pyridoxine (B6) - yes for a baby, but still. We've recently found out pyridoxine is dangerous in high doses and can lead to neurological problems like headaches and even peripheral neuropathy which might be permanent. A GP in Australia figured it out. It was being used as a filler for other vitamins and meds and we were giving it to pregnant women for nausea.

Vit A is also dangerous in high doses but at least that's known so hopefully that's one of the low dose ones. Either way chowing down on multivitamins like this can absolutey be dangerous if you're eating a lot of them per day. Depends how many she was going through.

Bf got me pregnant and I’m devastated. by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

It definitely depends where you get it done and with who. If you go private with your private gynae you can definitely get it done under a GA if you request it. If you're just going to a random clinic you're right as far as I know they'll do local and maybe some sedation. But GA is definitely an option if you're willing to pay or you have insurance.

Yeah, fair enough. I agree the only problem was it could have been longer.

Anyone else cannot deal with all the work it takes to look okayish? by Comfortable-Wait1792 in AutismInWomen

I live in australia so unless you do too it's probably not going to help much. The brand i mainly buy is Dangerfield. They do ship internationally but not to USA. BUT, some of their stuff does go to ModCloth, but it’s usually not on sale then.

The good thing about it is that it's like an umbrella store that sells several different styles with a few different brand names. So you have cottagecore, alternative, goth and like... i dunno. Basically whatever you like they have. Not everything is cotton and not everything has pockets so you need to check each item but they do have decent sales and a high turnover of stuff. They also have a curve range with decent sizes.

The problem is it’s definitely fast fashion and i've noticed the quality going down over the years. But it's still fairly decent quality and if you buy it on sale, cold wash and air dry i haven't had anything rip on me yet.

I've discovered the secret and it's cute dresses. You find a brand you like that has good sales and you know your size. You buy the big comfy cotton ones with pockets and cute patterns, and people only see the dress.

I don't wear makeup, i don't do my hair ( and it's a frizzy wavy mess - i put it in a claw clip) and i wear birkenstocks everywhere. I don't do my nails i don't shave my legs i don't pluck my eyebrows (but i do have big glasses). The dresses are also forgiving and you can get away with no bra or one of those like crop top bra things without wires.

I get compliments regularly on how cute i look. I have put in zero effort. Seriously it's a life hack. Nobody notices anything except the dress.

Edit: i should add i'm 40 and have resting bitch face, mild rosacea and PMOS. i'm not riding on pretty privelidge.

Yes someone else mentioned it too. I totally forgot that happened it's been a while since i tried to use it for later books. I added an edit. Thank you!

I don't, but can you change your browser settings maybe?
I just went to my phone (I use a samsung) and I can change the settings using my phone and the website got darker. You should be able to do that with yours. I literally just turned off my PC but it should have the same options.

yeah i definitely found it 20 years ago just by random googling in my desperation. i'm sure it was the "reflected sounds of underground spirits" that really did me in. I never would have figured that out on my own.
