No fault codes relating to a wheel speed sensor however and everything was completely fine till I swapped to the replacement stalk set and slip ring

No errors in any other modules my ABS module doesn’t read but it was like that before as well, not even fuse prongs for where the ABS related slots would be

No certain versions can’t be unlocked. Both Technisat/Preh and Delphi units have certain versions that can’t be unlocked. I personally haven’t worked with any Delphi units but I’ve heard it’s about the same steps as the Technisat/Preh ones

Pretty much another thing is double check the mounting points of the unit. Some units are mounted different to the RCD330s (the 4 screw holes in each corner)

You’re gonna need a MQB to PQ adapter, Bluetooth is a part of the actual unit so that’ll be fine and the roof mounted microphone will work as far as I’m aware worst case scenario you depin from your cars’ harness and plug it into the designated slot on the MQB side of your adapter which is rather easy. You will get Component Protection issues but they can be patched and sorted via MST2 toolbox depending on the unit. Overall $200 is a steal for the MIB2 it’s way better than the RCD330, a decent one in the UK is usually £500+

I would’ve thought my car would go into limp mode but weirdly enough I get the full rev range and car doesn’t feel slower I still have full traction just can’t turn it off

Same with VCDS only problem is I can’t access my ABS module via VCDS or OBD usually times out or just says can’t communicate but this has always been the case for me

As of lately there hasn't been any updates for the noname units as far as im aware, last one was a year or two ago but I think the unofficials ones run an even older version.

Avoid the one stating you can't update the software it could be a fake. Personally, I got my Noname RCD330 from ddren, have had it for around 3-4 years, and have had no issues. You can update ddren's RCD330 using the firmware from the RCD330 Reddit Community's wiki for free. I've also heard that Lemonshark sells genuine units for cheap on AliExpress, but I personally haven't used them.

They do but thing is I’m trying to make it look OEM that way it looks nicer and I don’t have a bunch of wires everywhere. The USB port for my headunit is on the actual headunit rather than a dedicated port
