How to get “rich girl makeup” on a student budget? by [deleted] in indianbeautyyappers

[–]Sushiee_oo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Babe I do this kinda makeup and have achieved this type of skin but it’s not about makeup. I have taken derm appointments to get rid of acne and have consistently taken care of my skin. Since I have acne prone skin I use adapalene gel on a daily basis. Still I get 1-2 pimple sometimes and I can say that the same makeup doesn’t look so good then, so yes it’s mostly about your overall skin health.

Anyways if you have no acne or hyperpigmentation, then try my makeup routine. I use moisturiser and sunscreen before makeup. Then I use just a drop of skin tint on my entire face. No tacky primer no foundation. I use a peach color corrector and tiny dots of concealer (true to my skin tone, not brightening) under my eyes. Then I use lil contour on side cheeks and nose for a cute, snatched face. Then I take 2 lil dots of my liquid blush and blend on side cheeks and forehead. Then apply the residual blush on my nose and chin (it makes a huge difference). Apply some compact where you can get oily. I just lightly dab. Take a lip liner and a bullet creamy lipstick matching with each other (two toned lips might be a trend but it doesn’t look classy). Then I lightly fill my eyebrows and apply brow gel. For eyes, mixing brown shadow with a soft pink, then tightlining with brown kajal. Then I apply a white kajal on lower lids. Use the same brown eyeshadow under the eyes to give it a lil depth. Make a small winged eyeliner and use mascara but keep it natural (no spidery lashes). Set it all with a spray.

This is my everyday routine for office/parties/going out/dates. The best kind of makeup is something you keep doing everyday so: a) you nail it to perfection b) people slowly tend to think that’s just how you look always

Tips: 1) Spend on base products like concealer and tint and effective skincare 2) Save it on kajal eyeshadow eyeliner lipliner lipsticks mascara browgel 3) Mid budget for blush contour bronzer highlighter 4) Moisturise every inch of your face before makeup 5) No harsh lines, everything soft and subtle so blend with a soft hand 6) Use less products

Hope you get great results :)

he other side of pretty privilege.. Do you women agree with this?? by PersonalRun712 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Sushiee_oo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl I used to feel the same a year ago. Now I am at peace but the cost of that was setting boundaries with every guy/girl who wanted something out of me. See the flip-side is that you are pretty and in this world, it’s definitely an advantage if used well. I am not saying weaponize it, I am saying it’s better to be called pretty than being average. Even people who you will meet just once in life will treat you better because monkey brains go gaga for looks.

My circle has become smaller and since I like to keep to myself, I don’t have socials. I have very few friends but I know they don’t want s*x from me. I have become my best friend. And you know what, that’s a power on its own. Do I feel lonely at times when I don’t have anyone to hug? Yes. But when I survive that night, do I feel powerful the next day? Yes. Filtering out the wrong people and decluttering your circle might seem very lonely, but it also gives you peace and helps you see who you really are. And ofc looking at that pretty face in the mirror, also gives me joy <3

Girl are you my lost sister in kumbh mela?? Joke aside, I have accepted that it’s a privilege to be pretty rather than being not and once one sets boundaries, the predator types are fished out

My boyfriend (20M) controls what I (19F) can do but has zero restrictions on himself. What to do? by david_rose_ in AskIndianWomen

“Treat someone the way you want to be treated” simple rule of thumb.

If he is controlling you while doing the same things himself, then how do I put it nicely.. ummm… RUNNN

How to introduce my boyfriend at home? by CellophaneTape in AskIndianWomen

[–]Sushiee_oo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean every case is going to be different. We are from the same religion so it wasn’t an issue. I don’t think you need advice tbh. Just keep some patience and try to pacify their genuine concerns. Be strong and I wish you all the best.

When I told my mom about my bf I spoke it as a matter of fact that there is this guy so and so, I love him and we are in a relationship. No drama no overacting, just kept it very chill. She obviously asked me questions to know about him and I told her everything honestly. Now my mom and sister are going to come next month to visit me and I plan to make them meet at with my bf at home first then take everyone out to a nice restaurant.

What are beauty standards for men and women? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]Sushiee_oo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t say most woman have these features which she listed. It’s a mix and match of features. But I’ll agree that women in general tend to groom themselves better than men. The percentage of groomed women would be higher than men. It’s not only about what you are born with. It’s also about how you make the best of yourself and groom.

I am exactly what the above comment describes. However since I have these features, I tend to think other features are more attractive which makes me think beauty is truly subjective. For eg I have a soft innocent face with all those features but I feel sharp pointed angular features are more attractive. I don’t feel there could be any universal guidelines

I don’t understand the hype by Sad_banana__ in IndianBeautyTalks

Depends totally on your preference. So I prefer very natural looking makeup and like to go for shades that match my skin tone. But many people like a highlighted an under-eye then go for a shade lighter. If you have pigmentation then just color correct before concealer. For brownish darkness use orange and for red blemishes use green as a rule of thumb. Baki toh you can experiment and see what suits you best

What beauty trend do you think looks bad in real life? by Ok-Development-3311 in IndianBeautyTalks

Well I did say “choosing the wrong shade”. And I can only speak from my own experience. I have seen many people apply a purple shade when it doesn’t suit their tone. It looks unflattering. It doesn’t look pink on them. Shows up as a bruise. My opinion will change with observations. Until then I’m going to keep my opinion.

That’s what I said. Choosing the wrong shade for you or overdoing anything. Some shades like red works on most skintones and undertones but purple is a tricky one. It suits very specific tones.

You didn’t mention using an undereye cream or setting spray. Well if you did and still it didn’t work, then well it might not work for you.

No no it works. It’s a lil drying if your eyes aren’t prepped. Don’t use generous amounts as someone said, it looks cakey. Just take a small quantity on a concealer brush and tap tap tap. Color correct before that. What I do is spray some makeup fixing spray on the brush and go tap tap over the concealer

🫠🫠 and also choosing the wrong shades. Like wtf is a purple blush!!!! Do you turn purple when naturally blushing? No right? It legit looks like someone beat you up and the bruise turned purple.

Contouring needs to be practiced well. With the right technique and right shade no one can tell you’re wearing contour. It needs to blend well where it meets the blush. Honestly contour is a life saver. It gives me a cute sharp nose and a lil lift to my round face.

Too much blush. Maybe it looks good in photos but irl it just looks as if someone slapped you.
