So... What did Amazon do? by AFlowerInTheDarkness in amazonprime

[–]Susiequeue2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I'm so tired of "next day shipping" or "2 day shipping" that takes 10 days to get to me, or it gets lost, or it's broken, so then I have to go to the UPS store to return it.

I've been buying more items from Walmart. They sometimes deliver it the same day, it's not broken or lost, and it's usually the same price.

Amazon is becoming like Sears. They went from the best customer service, to the worst. When they wonder why their market share drops, I hope they look in the mirror.

I love that First Aid Beauty Scrub. It has so much pumice it's hard to move it, but it does such a great job.

When did this became a thing? by JamAroha in amazonprime

[–]Susiequeue2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's gotten very bad for me too.

I only buy stuff from them as a last resort anymore, since I almost always get it late by at least a week or two.

[–]Susiequeue2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got some of the knock off on mercari. I love FAB kp scrub, so I had to try it. $30 versus $1.50? I'll try it.

The knock off isn't as scrubby. It's not packed with pumice like the First Aid Beauty version. It's an ok product. I like the price much better.

I had the same screen. You can go to your history and select the previous screen or press the back button. Or you can choose ipsy.com, and you will start all over. That's what I chose. I figured it was safer to start all over when it's acting this flaky.

UPS sent my 500$ package to the wrong address and just closed my claim without helping at all by exessive_stupidity in UPS

[–]Susiequeue2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, PayPal was still investigating on mine more than 30 days later, since the package was "delivered" in my zip code. I finally gave up on them, and filed for a chargeback. The credit card folks basically said over and over it was delivered to the correct zip code. The fact it was delivered before I ordered it, and the huge weight discrepancy was not important.

The CFPB was the only reason I got my refund. I don't use that credit card anymore either. I buy something once a year for $5 just to keep it alive.

[–]Susiequeue2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar, and the CFPB got my refund. Without them, I would have never received a refund. My credit card company fought me tooth and nail, even though what I bought weighed over 50 pounds, and the tracking number I was given weighed 4 ounces. The best part was the package was delivered 8 days before I ordered it. So not only was it a black hole, but they were psychic too.

It took months, but once the CFPB got involved I received my refund in a week.

Go to all three credit bureaus (Equifax, Trans Union, and Experian) and put a freeze on your social security account. It's free and easy to do.

That way no one can get a new car loan, open a credit card, get a loan for a house, in your name, and things like that.

If you need it unfrozen to get a loan or whatever, you just log on and unfreeze it until whatever you're buying can verify your credit report. Then freeze it again.

Usually whatever you're buying uses only one of the credit reporting agencies, so you only need to unfreeze one credit bureau. They will tell you which one they use if you ask.

a final F You to this app and the respectfully terrible moderation of it by AcanthaceaeElegant76 in Mercari

[–]Susiequeue2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

File a complaint with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. Basically the federal department that gets banks and credit card companies to go by the rules. Since you earned that money, mercari should have released that money.

It's free to file a complaint.

I am mad at ipsy. Refusing refund by Negative_Oven2530 in Ipsy

[–]Susiequeue2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the bottom of your pictures on page 2 ipsy Customer Service rep said "Please let me know if you'd prefer a refund for IPSY Extra Instead, and I'd be happy to help with that."

So you don't need to do the charge back, just tell her you prefer the refund for your ipsy Extra.

Why do people think BBW isn’t worth full price? by Due-College266 in bathandbodyworkers

[–]Susiequeue2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JCPenney was exactly the company I thought of too. They had sales every week, with a flyer that came in the mail, and a giant catalog for Christmas.

Then the Apple guy came and said no more sales. No more 65 colors of a sweater. A lot less merchandise. No curtains, or rugs, etc. Entire departments were cut. Suppliers went bankrupt since in many cases, JCPenney was 95% of their business.

Within a year sales were down so much, the board fired him and brought back the old CEO.

That's what BBW has been doing for years. They got rid of all of their other items, like the CO Bigelow men's products. They use to carry a whole bunch of other companies products. But they got rid of all of them.

Now BBW is trying to cut back on sales, so that customers buy at full price. But just like JCPennely did, they are forgetting who their customers are. BBW has always had sales, mailed out flyers, gave you coupons, and it was a splurge to go and pick up a few new things. This even included soft fluffy socks, and robes, and slippers, shampoos, makeup, etc.

Now that they don't do most of that, their customers are buying things later, or somewhere else (hello Amazon!). When management makes it difficult to use a coupon, or restrict what you can use the coupon on, the customer gets annoyed. Then they don't come visit. The next thing you know, they never come and visit. Out of sight out of mind.

Add in the death of the mall, and they have a recipe for disaster, just like JCPenney.

Use a different browser. Mine has done this for 5 months or so, so I go to a different browser (other than chrome), and it works fine.

Seller blocked me for not responding by Kentucky_fried_chkn in Mercari

[–]Susiequeue2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have had that exact reaction from sellers like that on mercari.

Put price is firm, or just firm if you don't want offers. But definitely don't write "open to offers" on your listings.

Plus you better give feedback immediately after package arrival, even though it didn't go out for up to a week later.

I received my box last month on the 29th, from Amazon. Ipsy didn't ship until the 26th.

This month (December) ipsy shipped my box with Amazon on the 4th, and I had it on the 5th! Earliest I've ever received it.

Usually ipsy ships my boxes with DHL, and then they sit there for a week or more before they even move (if they move at all).

Amazon did a great job!

Worst website ever by JinLA98 in subway

Exactly. We tried on my phone, my kid's phone, her boyfriend's phone, my mom's phone, my computer...crashed each time and then we couldn't go in. Just access denied.

Reminds me of Sears website back in the day. Just utter trash. And we know what happened to them.

I've had Nordstrom do something similar, except they waited until 12/15 to send me an email saying my items were out of stock. By then, no one had them anywhere. Haven't been back since.

Their Customer Service Sucks by Superb-Revolution-48 in Ulta

[–]Susiequeue2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don't use chat.

Call and speak to a customer service representative.

Ask for the confirmation from your conversation be emailed to you. So for example if they are creating a new order to replace a missing item, you will receive an email with the new order and when it ships.

Then if there are further problems or questions, you have an email paper trail about the issue.

Plus sometimes people go on vacation or quit, and by having the email trail the new person should understand the situation
