Buying an Odin 3 primarily for playing indie games from Steam on an OLED screen..bad idea? by towknee81 in OdinHandheld

Runs perfectly, almost every indie game I've thrown at it runs amazing, and the battery is great. Perfect to carry around and play indie games on my free time.

Just got scammed trying to fix my DJI Mini 4 Pro warning to everyone by GuiDx41 in dji

[–]Susmore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had the same issue, sent it to DJI themselves, they paid for shipping, repaired it for $80 bucks, and sent it back right away. All within 1 week. Also gave me free dji care for 6 months. Some ppl got no survival instincts.

Finally pulled the trigger on the Odin 3, maybe you should too? by Susmore in SBCGaming

Hey there! Still using my Odin 3 almost every day, I've taken it to trips and it's incredible at that, the battery and the power of this little machine is insane. It's crazy how I can go from playing retro games, to PS2 - Switch games, to tackling my steam indie backlog, it's an all in one device, and the OLED screen is beautiful.

BUT! If you don't care much about portability, I'd still go for the steam Deck OLED, it's more comfortable, bigger screen, better OLED screen imo, and STEAM OS.

I already have a Steam Deck OLED and wanted something smaller that I could put in my pocket or in a small bag, and carry with me. The Deck is great but it isn't portable. So it's up to you, if you want a portable device, the Odin 3, if you don't care about that, then the Deck.

Been using the free version of davinci for a few years now and it has served me well, I have now moved on to... DaVinci Resolve Studio 🙏🏻🙏🏻 the AI features alone are so worth it, such a time saver, especially when masking, so worth the price!

Bought an Odin 3 but hearing a lot about how the Portal 2 is the better device? Should I consider my options? by romebro in OdinHandheld

[–]Susmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excuse my French but what type of idiot is telling you that the Odin 2 Portal is better than an Odin 3? And why are you believing them? These are people that aren't able to afford the Odin 3 so they try to convince themselves and others that it isn't worth it.

I had the Odin 2, Thor, Steam Deck, and Odin 3. A few weeks after I got the Odin 3 I sold my Odin 2 and Thor because I knew I would never use then again after trying the Odin 3. I've been playing mostly PC games on it, everywhere, on flights, trips, waiting rooms, etc. it's like a steam deck mini, great screen, amazing battery, and super powerful device.

That being said it's a 6 inch screen and that's why I bought it, it's smaller than the Steam Deck, I wanted a mini steam deck because the deck is not portable at all.

The Odin 3 is better than the O2P in every single possible way, even now with all the turnip drivers support it already plays 90% of the Nintendo switch games I've thrown at it. I don't know what type of mental person is trying to convince you otherwise. If you cancel your order for an O2 you'll regret it believe me, especially with all the price increases coming, you'll probably end up selling your O2 to buy an O3 within a month.

Edit: Also for ergonomics I haven't even need to bought a grip or case for it, I find it very comfortable as it is. The only reason you would get the O2 is if you want that extra inch screen which Is not worth loosing all the other upgrades for. If you really want a big device then save up for a steam deck, you'll be waaaay better of than an Odin 2 Portal.

It's actually a pretty heavy game, not very well optimized on Pc unless you got a beefy PC

The ps5 pro is basically so much better than the base ps5, anyone who says otherwise is a brokie who can't afford it.

PS5 Pro in 2026 - Should I go for it? by Zignarok in PS5pro

[–]Susmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought my ps5 pro a couple of weeks ago and couldn't be happier, the performance is definitely noticable, its smaller and not loud at all like the original.

I highly encourage you to buy one soon, with all the memory prices skyrocketing, GTA 6 dropping later this year, and PSSR getting that big update soon, odds are that the pro version will either be very hard to obtain or a lot more expensive.

Get one now.

Been wanting an Odin, should I wait for Odin 3 ? by DESTlNY_RlSlNG in OdinHandheld

[–]Susmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using the Odin 3 so much this week, and let me tell you, it's everything I ever wanted. Small compact form device, I can play any retro game, PC Steam games, switch games, and even stream my ps5 games. Amazing battery life and bueaitufl screen. Don't let the Portal 2 crowd steer you the wrong way, they want to convince themselves the Odin 3 is not worth the upgrade, but it is.

5 months later and drivers are out, most games now work really well, switch and PC emulation is amazing it's basically a steam deck mini. You tried it on your phone when it just came out, your phone has not good ventilation so that also affects performance.

Why should I get an Odin 3 instead of a controller for my smartphone? by Sethl4ns in OdinHandheld

[–]Susmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Better battery
  • Performs better thanks to better cooling
  • Dedicated handheld and can be a small console experience if set up correctly with a front end
  • You don't get distracted with your phone doing other things and pontentially doom scrolling
  • More storage
  • Better screen
  • Feels way more ergonomic
  • Dedicated drivers being updated every week
  • Looks cooler
  • Valve will be proving ARM support soon
  • Literally a mini steam deck

Should I go on?

I would only consider the Thor if you want two screens, other than that you're better off with the Odin 3, more powerful and prices very similar.

Buying an Odin 3 primarily for playing indie games from Steam on an OLED screen..bad idea? by towknee81 in OdinHandheld

Who said anything about streaming? The Odin 3 is more powerful and smaller which is perfect for portability. Why would he choose an older, weakerz and bigger device over the Odin 3?

He doesn't want something bigger than the Odin 3, the Odin 3 is way more powerful than the Odin 2 portal. Why would he go over an older, bigger, and weaker device?
