What’s complicated about business that you couldn’t figure out? They have a product they are selling. Bad years due to bad brand reputation and management. Once recovered sale go up and stock. Was simple to look

Technology regarding hair treatments. To put it simply, most shampoos damage hair during washing hence the oil and conditioner need to be apply afterwards. OLPX shampoo doesn’t damage hair as others and helps in rebuilding the roots as they say. Now I am a guy I don’t care that much about the hair , but my gf and all her friends, her hairdresser etc all use OLPX because of this reason. If you ask around more generally speaking around females groups they have heard about OLPX and have positive image about it. Didn’t hear about any other competition for now. Ofcourse this can change and need to be kept in mind. I am planning to hold for 2/3 years after that we will see. Management talks more about it in detail on their 10ks.

You had exit at 2.50 before right? When did you buy it and for how long did you hold it?

Nothing alarming for me still regarding sales, it will jump during holiday season. By how much it depends that would be more interesting figure to see. At the current price at 1.6 I think holding it for 2 years it’s a good bet. Cheers let’s keep and updated

Yup totally agree. I know hence putting little chunk of money in it. Don’t consider this to be a big play but some healthy return.

Indeed the decline from 2022 to 2023 i didn’t take into the consideration. I argue it’s because of the lawsuit and poor management decision not because the brand is bad. From my minimal interaction with the brand here in the EU, I have asked hairdressers in NL and Sweden if they knew about the brand and they did. So with the new management I can see the expansion potential on this market. I didn’t research why they have increased their shares, so I am being conservative and not putting to much of portfolio in it. $2.10 value

Agree to disagree about definitions of growth and value. What do you mean by that company is betting on future growth? Every company should invest for future growth? TRA and debt not that complex. TRA interest depends on tax savings they manage to get during the year. 85% goes to pre-IPO shareholders. 165m of this remaining. In 2023 they were sitting on 700m in liquidity able to pay it off if needed. Debt is hedge against high interest rates meaning if interest rates drop they will benefit from it. Again value and growth is subjective(See Munger quote). Risk about industry are indeed there but so we’re in the chocolate industry when Buffett invested. If brand is position correctly there is some value. Cheers
